Even thought I haven't been very busy since I'm back in Beijing, this was still a much needed weekend getaway from the big city.
Aranya Resort is 4 ish hour drive from Beijing, and is a very exclusive area for it's visitors. It has everything you need, from restaurant to gym to shops, to have a great relaxing stay.
It is also a heaven for artists and art lovers! It hosts regular movie nights on the beach, theatre shows, and art displays.
This little white church is literally on the beach, right next to the water. It is one of the most famous architecture around the area and it's always filled with people!
Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I was able to take this picture with no one else around!! 📸

Hi friends! How have u been???
It's been almost a year since my last post, so just want to say "hi" 🙋
I haven't posted anything since I didn't want to encourage travel or trigger the "travel blues" given we are still in the middle of a global pandemic.
However, I have recently arrived in Beijing, China due to family emergency and after 21 days of quarantine I am finally free to explore a bit, so here's a picture to celebrate 🎉
This picture was taken at the busiest spot within Tsinghua University. Tsinghua University is one of the most prestige university in China, and this is the original gate before the campus expansion.
For some, this is a tourist attraction; for others, this is a life goal; but for me, this is home. I grew up on this campus and have spent most of my childhood running around and exploring.
It is a beautiful camous and if u haven't been, I do wish one day u can come and explore this place urself!🤘

As rules for lockdown slowly getting lifted here in London, I cannot wait for my "actual" London experience!
Moving to a new city during lockdown was definitely very interesting. It's been almost 3 months now but so far I haven't met any of my co-works in person 🤷
Buuuuuuttttt....it has its pros! I don't think I will have another chance to explore this amazing city with no one else around! This area is generally very busy, and it's impossible to take a photo on these stairs without getting step on, but here I am...with only one other person!😅

Can't believe it's only been 2 months since I got back from South America... feels like a life time ago!!

So here's a throw back... to back when I was looking for banõs in banõs (Ha, get it 😏)
Banõs is the paradise for adventure seekers in Ecuador: swing jump off a bridge, rafting down a roaring river, zip lining between mountains, or canyoning down waterfalls...
What? Not interested? What about cool photo ops on the top of the mountains swinging off the edge! Yup, $2, you get to visit this park on the top of the mountain. It's a great view when it's sunny as you get see the town from the top. But it's also super cool when it's foggy (which happens a lot around this region). Imagine - swinging into the world of the unknown!😮
So add this to your to-visit list after we survive COVID-19!

New "Home" 💙

5 years ago today, I came to London for the first time. It was a great trip and I remember saying "I can see myself living here" to my travel buddy.
Who could've thought that I would actually call this city "Home" 5 years later?!
Back in 2015, I had to buy a new plane ticket leaving London because I went to the wrong airport and missed my flight (for the first time in my life)😅
In 2020, I also had to buy a new ticket to fly into London because my original flight was cancelled due to COVID-19. After I finally landed, London went into lockdown 8 hours later...Very lucky right?😅

Ice ice baby ==========================================
In front of me is the Perito Moreno Glacier, the world's third largest reserve of fresh water!
250 km2 (97 sq mi) with 30 km (19 mi) in length...it's definitely not small! (I am just here for size reference😅)
This glacier is one of 48 glaciers in the Southern Patagonian Ice Field shared by Argentina and Chile.
It took my breath away when I laid my eyes on it for the first time💙 I'd never seen anything like this and I felt so small! Mother Earth did it again!🙏
It's hard to describe this view with words (at least for me), so I can only recommend you to go here yourself. This place is not far from El Calafate, Argentina. The town is easy to get to by plane or over night buses across Argentina. I got to National Park as part of the MiniTrekking Tour where we also got to walk on the Glacier. However, if you hire a car, you can easily get here yourself. You can also book boat trips or kayaking trips in the area to be even closer to the glacier.
It's such a magical experience seeing this in person, so I would highly recommend this to everyone who's visiting Patagonia in Argentina!
