前回の展示会より出来た、のれんの片方を上下や裏返したりして自由に楽しむことができるシリーズです。前回は麻のみでしたが、今回は木綿の布でも制作されました。
上部をわざと縫い合わせず、また上下に棒通しをつけることで可能にしています。
白地に赤の染色が鮮やかなのれんです。
シンプルな文様ですが、向きを変えることで同じのれんとは思えないほど変化があります。

こちらは、くじらさんの人気の【こうのとり／飾布】。
おめでたいことがくじらさんの周りで続いたときの喜びを型にしたもので、
珍しく具体的なものを型染にしています。
これまでは木綿で作られていましたが今回は麻布です。
また、今回は少し狭い身幅なので色々なところに飾りやすい大きさです。

こちらは、新作の型で作られたのれん。
型の組み合わせ方が面白く、見る人によって異なるイメージが浮かぶような文様です。
麻生地なので、窓辺に置くと外の光が透けて見えます。
グレーと紺色の2色があり、掛ける場所によっても表情が変わります。

６月26日（金）より「型染くじら展」を開催いたします。
一足先に、コースター、卓布を入荷しました。
こちら昨年の展示会に新作として出していただき、好評いただいたものです。
今回は、新色として黄色も作っていただきました。
生き生きとした葉っぱのような型染です。
鮮やかな色味のものにも合うので、当店では小さいサイズのものに玩具を載せて飾っていますが、
湯呑などを置くコースターにしても。
中サイズと大サイズもございます。
大サイズはテーブルセンターなどにもご利用いただけます。

来月の3月14日より茨城県陶芸美術館にて、
企画展「吉田璋也のデザイン － 新作民藝運動がめざした未来」 が開催されます。
鳥取で新作民藝運動を興し、当店や鳥取民藝美術館、たくみ割烹店をつくった吉田璋也。
本展は鳥取民藝美術館が協力させていただき、約300点の作品や資料で吉田璋也の足跡を紹介する大回顧展です。
今後、茨城会場を皮切りに、岐阜→東京→山口→鳥取へ巡回します。

また、茨城会場にて3月14日には鳥取民藝美術館学芸顧問「尾崎麻理子」による講演会も開催されます。
