本日、恵良敏彦はプロボクシングを引退することを決意いたしました。
まずは、これまで支えてくださった皆様、応援してくださった皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
15歳でボクシングと出会い、自身の弱さと向き合い、そして父を超えたいという想いから歩み始めた競技人生でした。
最初はただ拳を振り回すだけの喧嘩ボクシングでしたが、地元の喧嘩自慢たちとリングで拳を交え、鼻骨骨折など当たり前の日々を過ごしました。
やがてプロとなり、キャリア中盤から終盤にかけては世界各国へ呼んでいただき、多くのタイトル戦にも恵まれました。
JBCデビュー戦を59秒KOで飾ったこと。
ハードワークの末に重度のヘルニアを患い、約20年にわたり思うようにボクシングができなかったこと。
40歳を過ぎて再びリングに戻り、海外で再出発したこと。
2000人以上の敵地の観客の中でのインドネシアのリング。
1万人を超える大声援の中をリングに向かい歩いたマレーシア
WBAアジアタイトル戦では幾度も反則され靭帯を損傷しながらも戦い抜き、ドローとなったこと。
そして三か月後、リハビリ中にも関わらず、中二日で8回戦を戦い、三日後にWBAタイトル戦へ挑み連勝したこと
振り返れば、数え切れないほどの思い出があります。
私がボクシングを始めた時に掲げた目標はただ一つ。
「やり切ること」
キャリア終盤にはヘルニア手術、眼窩底骨折、そして外傷性白内障の手術も経験しました。
それでも最後の最後まで、自分にできるところまでやってやろう。
そう思い続け、本日を迎えました。
年齢を理由に笑われることがあっても、会長や山口トレーナーと共に真剣に世界タイトルを目指し続けました。
また、日本で最後を迎えたいという想いの中で、かつて反発していた日本ボクシングコミッション、日本ボクシング協会にも受け入れていただきました。
安河内事務局長からいただいた
「挑戦することに意味がある」
という言葉は大きな財産です。
自身にとってボクシングとは人生そのものであり、人生の根幹にあるものです。
身体がボロボロになるまで戦いました。
そして36年間、自分自身に掲げた
「やり切る」
を貫くことができました。
本当に幸せなボクシング人生。
改めまして、支えてくださった全ての皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。
ありがとうございました。
これからは、海外で培ったプロモーターや世界のチャンピオンたちとの繋がりを活かし、日本ボクシング界の発展に少しでも貢献していきたいと思います。

俺がナメられるって事は家族や仲間がナメられる事。どうオトシマエ付けてやろうか？ 俺がライセンス再取得し、強いと言われてるやつに勝てばいい。
20年は遠回りしたとか全くの思いも無く、ボクシングに対する情熱を失わなかった事が今の自分を創りあげたんよね。
写真は復帰した時のリング。観客は数人しかいなかった。時を経ていまは一万以上の海外の観客が来てくれる様になった。
大切なのは今いる場所から前を向いて歩く勇気。そして未来への想像を創造して行くイメージと逆算。
人生はどん底の時こそ、面白いチャンスが待っている。
