As a therapist, I’m seeing relationships ruined because somebody wanted fast validation or needed a hit of attention. Maybe they felt lonely or unseen, but instead of addressing the actual issue with the proper person, they turned to fast fixes with the wrong people… and it cost them dearly.
I’m seeing intimacy eroded because people have consumed so much hyper-stimulating p*rn that real human connection no longer feels like it’s enough.
I’m seeing people become increasingly isolated because they’ve lost the art of connection and conversation. There’s no patience for relationship building. Small talk feels exhausting. So they pick up their phones and retreat.
This is not meant to be judgmental.
It’s meant to disrupt the normalization of these dopamine hits and bring attention to the very real ways they can wreck the most important parts of our lives.
