J’ai présenté cette oeuvre au cours de la soirée d’exposition « Hors les murs » de La Galerie 33 du Jeudi 2 Octobre 2025 au Cabinet d’avocat Khayat-Tissier.
Dans le quartier d’Asakusa à Tokyo au Japon, Tomomitsu est une « Oiran » moderne (n’obéissant pas à l’étiquette traditionnelle de courtisane) travaillant dans le secteur du divertissement pour le groupe Asukusa Ukonya, cool Japan Entertainment. Nous échangeons sur les réseaux sociaux depuis un certain temps.
Je désirais peindre son portrait de manière traditionnelle depuis quelques années déjà. Durant l’époque Edo ), les artistes du monde flottant dessinaient les portraits des hautes courtisanes, ces célébrités des quartiers des plaisirs, devenant une thématique emblématique de l’art Ukiyoe: les Bijin-Ga (Images de belles personnes).
J’ai façonné le portrait de la courtisane Ayako Tomomitsu à partir de ses photographies, de ses kimonos fétiches ou modernes, de sa coiffure bien caractéristique.
Pour sublimer cette beauté japonaise, j’ai travaillé l’encadrement à l’ancienne en restaurant étape par étape un vieux cadre style Louis XVI:
- Ponçage et nettoyage du cadre
- Remodelage des angles et comblages des trous avec de l’enduis
- Application des couches de peinture, primaire et dorures.
- Intégration d'une Marie-Louise en simili cuir violet.
- Commande d’une vitre sur mesure.

いのち会議 いのち宣言世界盆踊り。そして#アイリッシュ盆踊り でも呼んでいただきまして #浅草右近屋 としては2回の万博出演。
世界盆踊り World BonBon プロジェクトは右近先生と盟友JICA ドミニカ共和国坂口所長を中心にしたプロジェクトです。世界に広がるJICA有志メンバーが6年前のアフリカ開発会議の前夜祭アフリカ盆踊りから立ち上げ、様々な国と交流し両国の絆となる盆踊りを制作、披露してきました。
この万博で各国コラボの平和を願う世界盆踊りを実現できたこと。一つのいのちを大切に紡いでいく。いのちの大切さをテーマにいのち盆踊りも発表しみんなで踊ることが出来ました。
地球をみんなで手を繋いで歩く振付で挑みましたが、会場全体で手を繋ぐことが出来きまさに地球の縮図がここ大阪万博で実現！
このいのち宣言のテーマを掲げられました
主催の大阪大学いのち会議の堂目先生、田和先生皆さまに感謝でございます。
