Não vou mentir… estive quase sempre fora da minha zona de conforto e pensei em desistir muitas vezes. Todas as manhãs a ir para a faculdade perguntava na minha cabeça: “para que é que preciso disto se já tenho um curso?” “Tenho uma vida estável e tranquila, não preciso disto para nada…”
Conciliar a licenciatura em Medicina com ser pai logo passado uns meses de começar, trabalhar como dentista para dar estabilidade em casa, assumir o papel de pai presente e ainda ser capitão do CDUL e Seleção… houve alturas em que parecia demais. Muitas vezes sentia que não estava a 100% em lado nenhum — nem em casa, nem no rugby, nem no curso. E isso custava. Mas sou de ideias fixas e sempre me ensinaram a não largar os compromissos. Não fui, nem de perto, nem de longe o melhor aluno do curso, mas consegui porque tive quem acreditasse em mim: os meus filhos, que sem saberem foram a maior motivação; a Marta e os meus pais que me puxaram para cima quando só queria largar tudo; e o rugby, que me deu a disciplina para aguentar isto. Olhando para trás… fazia tudo outra vez. ✌🏻
Tanto trabalho e tanto sacrifício ao longo dos últimos 4 anos tinham de nos trazer até aqui.
