Anyone else find it impossible to get the kids out of the pool and into the shade!? 😎
If that sounds familiar, take a look at — they’ve got some fantastic traditional garden games, just like these giant wooden dominoes.
We had so much fun playing together, and even a spotty little ladybird joined in the dotty fun 🐞

We visit every year and it never disappoints.
This year brought some incredible new acts, but Rosie’s absolute favourite was the amazing hula hoop “princess”. She was completely mesmerised watching just how many hoops she could spin at once — jaws were definitely on the floor!
And of course, no trip would be complete without Porto keeping both the kids and adults laughing from start to finish. Everyone left with huge smiles on their faces.
We finished our afternoon with some delicious ice cream from Farmer Copleys 🍦😋 — the perfect end to such a lovely day out.
If you’re looking for something fun this half term, it’s there until 31st May 🎟️🎪✨

Not only has he helped entertain my children, but he’s also been part of my weight loss journey too — because instead of going to the gym, I’ve been joining in with the dances and songs at home 😂💪
While continuing to create videos for our children, Danny Go is also caring for his sick son. So let’s help him out by sharing his music, videos, and content wherever we can ❤️

You know I like to use my time wisely when Rosie’s at dance, so me and Rory got to work 😅 I only had to unbuild half of it after putting it on the wrong way… standard. 😆
Don’t you wish jobs around the house were always this quick? The stairs are finally starting to come together now though — slow and steady.
Also currently obsessed with oranges 🍊 I’ve got some on my mirror, ordered a fake orange tree, and now I just need an orange print for the wall. It’s giving Paddington vibes and honestly… who doesn’t love Paddington? 🧡

We busted some moves using the themed dance cards and of course enjoyed a Colin the caterpillar proudly displaying our little Zootropalise flags.

That all changed in April 2025.
Toby came home from school talking about a nurse who had done an assembly on healthy eating. He was genuinely worried about sugar, and in that moment something just *clicked* for me. I realised I had to do this—not just for me, but for them.
That night, I searched for a local Slimming World group and said, “Right, I’m going this week.”
Walking into that group, I was unbelievably nervous. I’d lost so much confidence—not just from the weight gain, but that’s a story for another day. I sat through the new members talk... From that point on, I was determined.
Week by week, the pounds started dropping—and my confidence started growing.
I committed to the journey. I still had treats and never deprived myself, which is why Slimming World works so well for me. Filling up on foods like pasta and potatoes and never feeling hungry made it sustainable.
But honestly, it was the non-scale victories that spurred me on the most. Seeing the difference in comparison photos—because let’s face it, it’s hard to notice those changes in the mirror day to day. Fitting back into old clothes, Even joining in on the playground equipment (if you’ve seen that reel, you know 😆).
At the start, I actually set my target higher than where I am now because deep down, I still doubted myself. But as I proved I *could* do it, I found the courage to lower it to my true goal.
The last half stone was the hardest. For weeks, I hovered just a couple of pounds away. People told me to take target anyway—but I didn’t want to settle. I wanted that 5 stone sticker more than anything.
And I did it.
Exactly one year after starting my journey, I reached my goal—and I couldn’t be prouder of myself.
Toby might have forgotten that assembly, but now he sees me making healthier choices every day. He’s been one of my biggest cheerleaders along the way ❤️
You honestly can’t take your eyes off the little whirlwind(s) for a second. We started the trip with an argument over who got to hold the basket… and ended up with one of the funniest shopping trips ever.
Although we did have to draw the line at the panda. 😆
You can't beat a haul.
