Tuesdays had a good day today. He’s still very sleepy and a little unstable on his feet. I’m sure the pain meds he’s on are playing a part in that but he ate all of his breakfast, lunch and supper and is spending lots of time snuggling on mom and dad’s lap.

HE’S HOME!!! ❤️🐈⬛
After one of the longest weeks of our lives, our tiny guy is finally back where he belongs.
Tuesday still has a road to recovery ahead of him. He’ll remain on antibiotics and pain medication for the next week or so, and we’ll be following up with his regular veterinarian, Dr. DeBusk, early next week. She will continue working closely with Dr. Soulas and the team at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital to make sure he’s healing exactly as he should.
The first thing Tuesday did when he got home?
He made a full inspection of the house to make sure his kingdom was still intact. 👑
Once he was satisfied everything was exactly as he left it, he enjoyed his first meal from his new specialized food bowl…
…and has been asleep on Mom’s chest ever since. ❤️
A very special thank you to Dr. Soulas and the entire team at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital. There are no words to express our gratitude for the care you gave Tuesday. Dr. Soulas went above and beyond for our little guy, treating him with the same compassion, dedication, and determination that we would have ourselves. She never stopped fighting for him, celebrated every small victory with us, answered every question with kindness, and gave us hope on the hardest days. She is truly a gift to veterinary medicine, and we will never forget everything she and the incredible team at UT did to bring our tiny king home.
We also want to thank Dr. DeBusk for trusting her instincts and getting Tuesday the advanced care he needed so quickly. Her continued communication with Dr. Soulas and the UT team gave us so much confidence that Tuesday was in the very best hands.
And to every single one of you…
Thank you for every prayer, every message, every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement. You celebrated every small victory with us, cried with us, and carried us through one of the hardest weeks of our lives. We felt your love every step of the way!

We’re waiting on THE call! 🤞
3:00 p.m. was the big moment. That’s when the 24 hour mark was up for monitoring the amount of fluid coming from Tuesday’s left chest tube. If he’s stayed below the goal (I think it was either 2 mL or 0.2 mL…I can’t remember which 😂), they’ll remove his final chest tube.
And if all goes well…
Tuesday could be coming home tonight. ❤️
We also got one of my favorite updates yet. The doctor said Tuesday has been pacing around his “suite” all morning. That’s what they call his oxygen chamber because even though he’s now on 100% room air, they didn’t want to move him and disrupt his peace.
Leave it to Tuesday to turn an oxygen chamber into a penthouse suite. 😂👑
Even in the hospital, he’s apparently ruling his kingdom.
Please keep those prayers coming for one more big hurdle. We’re so incredibly close, and we’re hoping today’s phone call is the one we’ve been dreaming about.

Today’s update brought even more reasons to be hopeful.
❤️ Tuesday is eating well.
❤️ His bloodwork still shows evidence of inflammation, but the doctors said that’s expected and normal for this stage of his recovery.
❤️ His right chest tube was removed today! The left chest tube is staying in a little longer while they continue to monitor its drainage.
❤️ Even more encouraging, today’s cytology showed no bacteria for the second day in a row. That was wonderful news to hear!
The next 24 hours are all about watching the amount of fluid coming from the left side of his chest. If it stays low enough, the doctors plan to remove it early tomorrow.
And then…the words we’ve been dreaming of hearing…
If everything continues to go well, Tuesday could possibly come home tomorrow evening. ❤️
We know things can change, and we’re trying not to get ahead of ourselves, but hearing the possibility of bringing our tiny guy home filled us with so much hope.
Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover what we feel. To Dr. Soulas at UT, you have been an angel sent from above. The love and care you have given and shown Tuesday goes above and beyond and UT is so lucky to have you. To his veterinarian here at home, Dr. Hannah Debusk, if you hadn’t agreed to meet me at your clinic after hours last Sunday I don’t think Tuesday would be with us today. Like I told you the other day, Tuesday said you’ve officially been written into his Will…he’s leaving you Ruby.
And to all of YOU, your prayers, messages, donations, and encouragement have carried us through one of the hardest weeks of our lives. Every update we’ve shared has been met with an outpouring of love for our little Tuesday, and we’ll never forget it.
