The first room to reach near completion. 🙌🏼 To be honest I hadn't initially intended on this being the first room to complete but I'm so glad we did it. It took actual hours to get all the dust and muck off the shutters after sanding the floor and it's a pretty big space to paint, but it's done and we have somewhere within this old house that feels like us. 🩷

Yard paint home renovation makeover transformation before and after outdoor living summer garden ideas
I first revealed the colour back in October and I haven't showed you the room since! 🤣 My commitment to this room has wavered but now that I've bought a new little sofa and got some prints up on the wall, it's starting to take shape. It needs:
- new flooring
- a darker rug
- new lighting (I'm on the hunt for a pretty lamp atm, might end up making my own lampshade as struggling to find what I want)
and fingers crossed the Facebook marketplace gods are on my side and I can find myself a lovely vintage cabinet too. 🤞🏼
Oh and one day shutters on the windows would be nice!
So yeah, definitely still work in progress but when I look back (swipe for the last photo) I'm pretty pleased with the transformation so far.

I need to think carefully about how it flows with the living room when the double doors are open as it needs to work with the pink, so I'll keep you posted. It also needs rewiring, new flooring and something needs to happen with the absolutely awful coving that must have been thrown up in a rush by a juggler on his lunch break. So that's gonna be a slow burner I reckon!
In other news I'm also working on finishing off our other living room because I'm completely procrastinating over making decisions for the bathroom. 🤣
