Unfortunately I was fired from a job just saying I needed to go and see him because of how sick he was getting. In fact I've been let go of from jobs who believe that work is more important than when you are in a crisis and whether personal or family related they just don't understand that work ethic can't replace family that specifically you need or need to be there for.
With how life's dealt the cards lately I was unable to go to his service and my heart hurts. However some of my family attended and I was able to videochat into the service in Λακονια, Καλαματα, Ελλας (Laconia, Kalamata, Greece) and have my own moment to say goodbye and tell him how much he meant to me and how I INTEND TO CARRY MY LEGACY on as his last child. While I stayed in ONE OF MY LIFE LONG FRIEND'S home who had the pleasure of meeting my Dad and my other long time friend flew in who while never meeting did talk to him and my mother too, to hold me and grieve for and with me.
Many Greeks use this term but it actually originated from Africa and is used in the Greek Orthodox church and many others use similar terminology to emphasize the fact that community, clergy, and family are responsible for raising their children right and how modernized the world has become we forget that.

My life got flipped-turned upside down

SO as many of you know I started this fitness journey
during law school and with a partner and for the whole
period of law school (3yrs) things went very well.
My partner and I were thriving and I even bought/
financed him a car to show my appreciation and help him travel and that's where the unraveling begins...
Within 6 months, he traveled constantly, cheated, and in general became very unhappy with the life we had made together, so we broke up amicably and he moved to another state in January...
Yet we remained close and I even visited his new home and state in April..
AND THEN IT JUST GOT WORSE AND WORSE AND WORSE to the point I spent my 30th bday in May in my bathrobe crying watching Cold Case with my roommate and out of respect for everyone in our lives I'll leave it at that.
So I hid and minimized myself so everyone wouldn't see how I had let this man rent space in my head and doubt my self-worth and also not let people see the shell I had let myself become...
BUT after a very rejuvenating trip back home to NY and then my other home Greece🇬🇷 to see my family especially my Dad, I started to see what everyone had been telling me...
