今回、なぜ東京タワーを会場に選んだのかというと
昨年1月、病気の手術をした時、
病室の窓から東京タワーが見えていたんです。🗼
その姿にたくさん励まされました。
それ以来、東京タワーは私にとって
特別なパワースポットになりました。
そして会場へ向かう車の中で麻布十番を通った時、
ふと思い出したことがありました。
コロナ禍が始まった2020年。
先の見えない不安の中、
苦しくてたまらなくて、
東京タワーを見に散歩へ行ったこと。
街は静まり返っていたけれど、
東京タワーはいつも通り灯り続けていて、
それはそれは美しかった。
あの日も、そして今も。
東京を照らし続けるシンボルは、
私にとって特別な存在です。✨

東京タワーのステージを与えてくださり
ありがとうございました。
ふふっ、22年間歌ってきて、
まさかの人生初の出来事もあったり🤭
だけど、それすら楽しめる自分がいて。

辞退する決断をしました。——
祈り、悩み抜いた末の決断です。
Sakura Japanese ChoirはMcDonald’s Gospel Fest 2026ファイナリストに選ばれました。
決勝の舞台はニューヨークタイムズスクエア。
今年の5月の予定です。
ですが——
祈り、悩み抜いた末、今年の出場を辞退する決断をしました。
現在、世界情勢は緊張状態にあり、
あらゆる角度から
冷静に状況を見つめ考えました。
昨年優勝したクワイアとして“チャンピオンとして戻るかどうか”
もし2連覇を達成すれば
日本人として初めて
歴史に残る出来事になる可能性もありました。
それでも、
「伝説」より
「連覇」より
私の心に最初に浮かんだのは
“みんなを守りたい”
という想いでした。
「戦争」という言葉がニュースに流れる中で
仲間たちを海外へ連れていく。
その状況に心から安心できないのであれば
今はその時ではない。
この決断をするまで
悔しくて涙が溢れました。
「どうして今なの？」と
神様に問いかけた夜もありました。
だけど、
桜の物語は
終わったわけではありません。🌸
未来を信じて
手放したこと。
来年かもしれない。
数年後かもしれない。
でもいつか必ず
この涙は意味を持つ日が来ると信じています。
