Easy, flat 3.8 mile out & back trail. Ends at Taggart Lake with views of the Teton peaks. The trail has forested areas & open meadows. We saw a bear & 2 cubs on our way back!
📍Jenny Lake
Boating, kayaking, hiking & the visitors center. Take the boat shuttle over to the other side of the lake to hike Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point & and the Cascade Canyon Trail. The shuttle costs extra but you can also hike.
📍Snake River Overlook
A scenic overlook that is easily reached from the parking lot. Offers panoramic views of the Snake River, best visited during sunset.
📍Hidden Falls
Located along the Cascade Canyon Trail, the 100 foot cascading waterfall is a true hidden gem and worth the slight detour.

Located in the Pike National Forest near Sedalia, Colorado, the Devil’s Head Fire Lookout Trail offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and forests and is about a 1.5 hour drive from Denver.
📍 Devil’s Head Fire Lookout Trail
This trail is one of the few remaining active fire lookout towers in Colorado which is staffed by the forest service. It is only open from late May- early September.
Tips for Visiting:
🥾2.7 miles out & back moderately difficult trail
📈940 ft elevation gain from the trailhead to the lookout tower
🏔️The tower sits at the top of a rocky outcrop at 9,748 feet offering panoramic views of the Rampart Range of the Rocky Mountains
🐶Dogs are allowed on a leash
🅿️Parking & restrooms located at the trailhead
⛈️ Access to the top of the fire lookout will be closed if there is lightening in the area
🪜 There are 143 steps to climb to reach the tower
👯Only 5 people are allowed in the tower lookout at a time
📆The top of the tower is only accessible from May to November
⚠️Rampart Range Road can have closures so check online before heading out
🚙A 4WD vehicle would be recommended to drive to the trailhead

The Delta Lake hike starts at the Lupine Meadows Trailhead. This part of the trail is well maintained and easy to follow. There will be a point in which you will turn off that trail and begin hiking on an unmaintained trail.
Expect steep sections, rock scrambles and a bit of route finding along the way. But the stunning turquoise waters of Delta Lake with the towering Grand Teton Mountain in the backdrop is worth every step!
♻️Remember to leave no trace when you are out in nature to minimize your impact on the environment. This includes packing out all trash, stay on designated trails, respect wildlife, do not pick or trample wildflowers, respect other hikers.
