Just arrived, an antique English, diamond horseshoe pendant, circa 1890. The Old European Cut diamonds are
approximately 3.7 carats of vibrant white stones, I-J VS-11. The diamonds are beautifully matched.
The hand made setting is 9 karat, silver top. The diamonds are silver set, typical of the time period. The gold is pale rose and has a finely detailed gallery.

Measures: 24.2 mm long x 22. 5 mm wide without the bail.
Condition: Excellent. This was converted from a brooch to a pendant with the addition of a 14k bail.

Amazing to have found another one of this rare form of a locket. It is 14k gold, finely hand engraved and shaped like a ball. It is dated 1867 with etched initials E.F.S ( both barely visible with the naked eye.) The best part is when you open it and find a rotating ball that has space for four photos. One original photo remains.
PLEASE SCROLL for the video.
I have only sold one like it before and was thrilled to offer another for sale.
Beautiful and rare.

Measurements: 20.2 mm diameter
Weight: 9.6 grams
Condition: Excellent

Perfection… This is a French 18 k gold heart, circa 1890. This form, with pierced gold bezels is quite rare and finding it in this superb condition is rarer still.
The locket unscrews at the top as seen in one of the last photos, enables a photo or momento to be inserted. I would wear it just as seen.. I love the simplicity of the beveled, double sided glass inserts. It creates a subtle accent contrasting with the gold surround.

Measurements: 29.2 mm across the widest span
32.1 mm long without the top bail

Condition: Amazing!
Origin: France
Marks: French guarantee stamps on the screw mechanism.
Chain is PC and not included.

UPDATE: SOLD!!

Diamond miniature heart locket circa 1850. This is the first I have sold in this rare witch’s heart with locket back.
It measures: 11.8 mm across
12.3 mm long without the loop and 12.5 mm with
the attached top loop
Setting is 15 k silver top gold. The diamonds are characteristically set in silver during this period.
The Old Mine Cut diamonds approximate 42 pts and are beautiful set and radiant.
Beautiful worn alone or with other pendants.

2. NOW SOLD
Rare early, 18 k gold Alphonse Augis love pendant. Rare to find the pendant with lettering in script. The plus sign has tiny diamonds and the minus set with six pave synthetic rubies.
This is the creation of a jeweler, Alphonse Augis who in 1907 designed a pendant to symbolically translate a verse of a poem by Rosalind Gerard. “ For you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow.”

The reverse is inscribed A. A. Depose and is also numbered.
It measures: 22.8 mm
Weight: 6.5 grams
Condition: Excellent

For spring, an early 20th century aquamarine faceted heart pendant. The aqua is a chunky, radiant stone. It is set in a detailed, 9 karat gold claw set mount. The original bail has eight rose cut diamonds set in silver top gold.
The pendant looks beautiful worn on a longer chain( the one pictured measures 20 inches). It could be worn on a shorter chain with the heart close to the neck.
Condition is excellent.

Measurements: The heart itself measures 20.3 mm across x 19 mm long without the bail.
It measures 28.8 mm long with the bail.
The stone is an impressive 11 mm deep.

The chain is PC and not included.

This is a new arrival, an antique, yellow gold, French 18 k gold pocket watch chain.
It is circa 1900 and has a beautiful geometric link. I have added from my collection of antique accessories, a very large, beautiful bolt ring. The bolt ring is 14k and is circa 1900 like the chain. The color match to the chain is wonderful. I added the large bolt ring because it enhances the beauty and versatility of the chain. The bolt ring is easily attached and detached and could be used with other chains of choice.

LENGTH of chain WITHOUT the bolt ring is 16 1/2 inches.
The length with the added bolt ring is 17 1/2 inches!
WIDTH of the chain is 3.5 mm
WEIGHT OF THE CHAIN: 23. 3 grams of 18 k
Bolt ring diameter is 18.3 mm!!
Weight of bolt ring is 4.8 grams of 14k

These chains are exceedingly difficult to find given the soaring price of gold.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT

This antique French pendant of St. George slaying the dragon is signed on the front A. Rivet. Adolph Rivet was a French sculptor and medalist. This pendant is circa 1900 and is dated on the reverse June 7 1914. It must have been a sentimental token for a loved one. Interesting that this was right before the start of WW1 on June 28th 1914.
St George slaying the dragon is the patron Saint of England as well as other countries. It symbolizes protection and courage.
On the bail is inscribed ORIA. This is a process similar to FIX which created beautiful plated gold jewelry.
This has been sitting in a box and should be enjoyed. It defies the eyes as it looks like solid gold.

It Measures: 1 inch diameter
Condition: Excellent

SOLD!!!

I have had many “ loves” in my antique career and Japanese Shakudo is certainly one of them. It is valued not by its weight in gold, but rather by its history, rarity and intricate, laborious designs.
Shakudo is the term used for the use of mixed metals upon a darkened ground. The Samurai swords were decorated by highly skilled artisans who created this unique metal work. When the Samurai were forbidden to carry their weapens in 1876, these jewelers could no longer support their work. They turned to the Western markets and created beautiful jewelry not only from the dismantled swords, but also creating items like necklaces, bracelets, chains and lockets that hopefully appealed to the European export markets. These pieces reflected Japan’s rich traditions and culture.
By the turn of the 20th century the industry had mostly folded.
These remaining works of art are prized today.

This chain, often called a Chrysanthemum chain is designed with copper, blackened metal, and low carat gold. The pattern are the flower heads of Chrysanthemums.
Symbolically, this flower native to East Asia, was valued by the aristocracy as it became associated with longevity, purity and rejuvenation.
This chain in its original full length of 56 inches x 1/8th wide is a collector’s dream, as so few have survived in this condition.
I have added an antique 18 k French swivel to enable it joined with a pendant, but also to allow it worn in multiple ways. PLEASE SCROLL…

It is a work of art, with a subtle beauty prized by collectors worldwide today.

This 19th century enamel slide is remarkable and is completely hand rendered. It is 19th century with a fine enamel scene of a a royal figure or a soldier on a white horse. Two peasants one on his knees and one removing his cap are showing their respect.
Gold pierced decorations surround the slide. Black and white enamel alternate in a ribbon like effect around the sides and back.
It is 18 k gold in superb, original condition with no losses or restoration.
It can be used in several ways as seen in the photos.
It would be amazing on a silk scarf.

Measures: 22.9 mm long x 21.6 mm across the width
Weight: 8.10 grams
Gold: 18 k
