So today, we followed the feathers…
We cycled out to the wetlands and watched flamingos move like soft pink waves.
Back in town, we studied the murals — the shapes, the colors, the stories they tell.
Later, at home, we dove deeper: nature documentaries, drawings, questions, wonder.
One simple theme turned into a full day of creativity, curiosity and connection.
This is learning.
This is worldschooling.
This is the magic of letting the world be the teacher.

When we travel, we always follow the colors.
And in El Cuyo, it felt like the whole city had painted a giant “welcome” on the walls.
Mexico is not just a place – it’s a full-scale art installation. Every street, every wall, every detail inspires… and reminds us why we chose a life on the go.
Worldschooling means that the classroom is infinite. And here in el Cuyo we learned that colors can tell stories – if you take the time to follow them.

The world’s friendliness keeps surprising me when travelling around the world. The constant open arms who invite us into their lives as if we have been their friends forever.
The people of Lombok are a fine example. We planned to stay there for a week, but ended up staying there for a few weeks, experiencing the love in the people’s hearts. We shared stories with them. We were open to their curiosity towards us. We learned much more from this experience than if we had stuck to our plan about chasing waterfalls and sea turtles, which we did also, but just shortly.
When we went back to our house we sat with warm hearts, thinking, when did we ever open our homes to complete strangers we just randomly had met on the streets? I’m not sure I ever did. Sure when we lived in Denmark, our home was always open and the centerpoint of gatherings. We always had space for people to stay and often we had someone staying for longer periods.
I stand by my danish roots, but something I notice when traveling, is how closed the people of Denmark can be to strangers.
By the time we spent on Lombok, we had two evenings by ourselves, the rest was spent in private homes. We were invited to Coffee, to dinner, to birthdays, and to celebrate islamic celebrations.
We sometimes spend our time in homes where they might be poor in things, but rich in Love and Family. We have noticed through our many years of traveling, that people rich by love and not stuff, wil give you all they have, just to see the smile on your face. Kids who had no toys, would rip out papers of their schoolbooks, to fold paper flowers to give to our son. A warm hearted act we all should learn from.
Lombok is not the first time I’ve been met with such great love and openness from complete strangers, in fact we are met with it most of the time when traveling. But Lombok made me take the decision to bring it with me to Denmark. I wanna drink coffee with strangers and hear their stories. I want to be even more helpful. Share my skills if they can be used and in general be even more open hearted to complete strangers.
I have nothing to lose, but all to gain from this act of Love.

Fish cuddles, really?? Let’s share some fun facts about us, or hereby mostly me - Christina. Often I find it more easy to understand and communicate with animals than humans😂
I find animals very straight forward in their communication.
For those who already know me, also know that I tend to befriend all sorts of animals. You would laugh if you heard about which and how many funky animals we had living with us over time. Most just move in with us, and we let them. Others just need some healing, and went off when they got well.
My dad always told me to have respect for all animals, not fear, but respect! We would watch nature documentaries almost daily. Today we do the same with Elliot. Learning about nature and animals is a part of his worldschool program. As we believe that if you get educated in it, you also tend to show more resect for it and carry a wish to protect it. And so it happens that we love all animals and find them equally loving. And yes, that include the Tarantula, moving in with us while we lived in Mexico. We named her Berta and we got to cuddle her on her legs.
For the latest stories, what happened here is simply that we took a pause in the Chatuchak Park in Bangkok and decided to sit still by the lake. Shortly after an elderly man sat down besides us, telling us that he would come everyday to feed the fish, and he shared some of his fish food with us to give. What happened next, is that we learned that the, by the way very BIG fish, were actually in for a little stroke of Love, which was much joy for the elderly very kind and loving man. He had never seen that before. Shortly after, a turtle came by and he stayed for a while just to receive some love. The news spread and then mr. Lizard came by. What you don’t see is that he actually decided to stay up close for a rest beside us. Until he got disturbed by some curious souls, who couldn’t believe their eyes. We did not cuddle with him, but we enjoyed each others company in peace and with respect to each other.

Oh little tropical island, you got us, yet again.
I (Christina) travelled to Koh Phangan just before I got pregnant with Elliot, to fast for 11 days, do some yoga and look a bit within. Looking back, it’s absolutely insane to travel to the country with one of the best cuisines in the world to fast🙈
But back then I felt much in love in the island. And also why we decided to go here as our last stop, before traveling further to our new destination. This time not to fast, but to fully indulge in all the island has to offer.
Koh Phangan offers some amazing beaches, very lush tropical nature and a variety of island vibes.
Go south and you will have the parties, go west on the sunset side you will find all the yogis. The hippi side they call it. Go a bit further up the cost and you will find a more upscaled vibe with the option to choose more luxurious accommodations and cafés. Go up north and the island is less developed with lush palm tree coves and green mountains. The north is also where we would see friendly monkeys chilling in the trees, big Lizards roaming around and where you will get the best snorkelling experiences.
What we love about this island, is that you can choose to relax on a quite beach with hardly anyone else. Take a lonesome hike in the mountains. Swim in the fresh water streams and waterfalls. Yet within a few minutes drive, find cozy coffeeshop and indulge in amazing food. You can choose the local street food or a gourmet experience in one of the more fancy restaurants.
As traveling World schoolers, KP also offers a wide palette of activities, as KP houses many expats who homeschools. Which means Elliot could join some ninja lessons, drum sessions etc. And have fun with tons of other children doing sunsets at the beach.
We love Koh Phangan for the indulge in life it gave us and would recommend it for those who want to travel to 1 tropical spot and have a full palette of choices.

As some of you already know, we have decided for Elliots classroom to have 4 world corners instead of 4 walls.
We decided to travel the world while we homeschool, which in other terms also are called worldschooling.
We got asked quite often if we follow a specific program and the answer is, the program we follow is Elliots heartbeat and his passion. Which in other terms also are called Selfdirect learning.
But short, we follow his interest and throw in some beans that match in, for instance writing notes and doing some math on his engineering designs.
Besides that we do choose a few topics, which we find important, such as how to Make money work for him, so that he don’t have to work for money. He learns about investing and how to use his money on assets to give him a cashflow, so that he can keep his freedom to do what he wants, when he wants it and not follow the rat-race as we were told to follow when we were kids.
He also have lessons in surviving in nature, how to filter water, find the plants you need for medicine and food and overall basic skills. He do not learn them from us, but from people who knows more than us, for instance a shaman who lived his whole life in the Amazon jungle.
Which lead us to the final write about how we find experts in specific skills while we travel the world. We simpley ask them if they like to pass on some knowledge to Elliot and until this day, no one have said no to this. Which means Elliots have unique private lessons in music,martial arts, plants, surfing, science, mechanics etc.
Elliots Worldschooling program is basically on all day, everyday. It is just about seeing and taking the opportunities given to you.

We thought it was time for a little introduction and update for those who already follow along.
We are Elliot, Christina and Mark. A family very passionate about living our dreams. Passionate about creating dreams, big dreams and pursue them 100%. One of our biggest passion is exploring the world, visit new countries, cultures and exotic and different cuisines. We always loved travelling and together we have been in 55 countries. But to pursue our travel addiction, we worked hard between the trips to get the money to travel. Constantly running in and out of the rat race.
In 2019 Mark got a huge breakdown from his work after another assault. He worked in the field of homeless and drug addicts. And that was the very moment where we took the final decision to change our life and escape the rat race for good.
We believe that life has more to offer than to work yourself of the beat. We educated ourselves in finance so that money could work for us, instead of us working for money 💥
We then decided to get rid of most of our stuff and stored the rest!! Packed our bags and left Denmark without knowing when we would be back. That resulted in us traveling full time for 3years.
After 3 years, we decided to take a break from traveling and return to Denmark for a while to visit family and friends. It was beautiful to actually take a break from full time traveling, as it gave us time to let all our new experiences sink fully in.
While in Denmark we also started our new business - where we sell amazing coffee and cacao we discover through our travels around the world. We import it directly from the farmers.
The longing to continue travel sneaked quickly up on us and we are once again on the go 🐾🌎
We just left Denmark to be backpacking around Asia, for how long, we don’t now.

Here is Elliot, chilling at home with his dj board. Learning about music, and some techniques about sampling.
A few hours before that, he helped talking care of some baby turtles in a rescue center, and before that, he was out looking for plastic at the beach, as a part of his marine education. And before that he practiced his surfing and swimming skills.
He is 4yr and traveling the world. Learning new stuff everyday. We call it world schooling.
Do he lacks in what most call basic learning, for the fact that he is not in institution. No we don’t think so. He speaks fluent Danish and English and partly Spanish. He sings the Alphabet, write all the letters and shortly started spelling and writing a few words by himself here and there and he counts to 100. How did he learn? Simple by living his life wild and free.
Yet, these skills is not what we found that important. For us, it’s the fact that he knows about different cultures. He knows about the mayans, the Incas. He has climbed pyramids, swimming under waterfalls, living a jungle life, and know how to gently remove a tarantula from his bed. He knows about the weather system, as he has experience hurricanes & earthquakes, and to have no fear, he learned about how it works. So now he recognizes a cumulus nimbus cloud from distance. He have stayed with Amazon shamans, and learned about the jungle plants. He know what plant medicine is and the fact that if you drink passion fruit leaf tea, your dreams gets more clear as it makes you absorb your DMT better.
But most important he now knows how to proberly eat a taco, Mexican style, without spilling 😂🤙🏽🌮
With that said, we think our world schooling is absolutely amazing and are looking much forward to all the new upcoming adventures.
