Through the lighting, I wanted to create contrast while emphasizing how the materials interact with the body. My goal was always to make the fashion design the hero of the image, while giving the models a strong and commanding presence.
Back then, I shot this series with my old Nikon, an 85mm Nikkor lens, and a single light fitted with a beauty dish and grid.
Later, I moved on to shooting with a Hasselblad H3D-39, but thatβs a story for another day. π
