With the asbestos removal of the house roof, thunderstorms almost daily (with nothing but tarp on the house) is not my idea of fun!
Today they will finish it up and after inspection and hopefully after passing it, they can start building the new roof Monday!
Meanwhile there is also the shop update tomorrow so I’ve been working as hard as I can in the studio these last few days, its all ready for tomorrow!
I forgot how much time it takes to carve so many cups!
But when they all got out of the kiln I knew it was worth it!! Just look at these 😍
I still need to fire at least 1 glaze kiln before the shop update next week! But I already have a lot finished, and I’m very happy with the stock I have atm!
The Monday or Tuesday before the shop update I always photograph everything, so I have time to make the listings and make them available for you to preview the work that will become available.
Setting up the studio light in my studio is always a puzzle because space is limited, and I think I might get a little studio in the house after the renovation because we have some spare rooms than 🫣🥳
That room will probably double as packing station and storage because the studio is running out of space!
A little under 2 weeks until the next shop update goes live on Saturday June 13th! (How is it June already 😱)
I’ll show some results in my stories today when I can open the luster kiln!
My wife is at home with our daughter and I get to play with mud all day 🥰
Most mondays Flora will go back and forth between the house and my studio, she will sit with me at the desk and color, or get her hands on my clay waste bucket and squeeze soft clay between her fingers. I always look forward to Mondays now! 😍🥰
I’ve opened a glaze kiln yesterday and there was this textured cup that looks so freakin pretty!
I’m gonna make a bunch more of those textured cups, and if I don’t forget I’ll take some shots of the first one!

My wife and daughter sat at my desk making clay animals and I was at the wheel making a giant mess with black clay!
Every day I feel incredibly grateful for the life I have, but moments like this are so special 😍❤️
So while yesterdays glaze kiln is cooling down, a freshly thrown batch of cups is drying in my studio!
Can’t wait to make a kiln full of those with the opal rainbow glaze you see in these photos!!!
