THE RUFFLE YOUR FEATHERS DRESS - architectural, playful and soft. A crescent neckline and double ruffle detail, cut from a sculpting black mikado.
We fell so hard for this custom look we had to put it in our latest collection! Working with Sierra was such a dream. We loved the vibe of the wedding, so beautifully curated and styled and hosted in some iconic London landmarks from The Standard to Carlotta Restaurant in Marylebone.

Sierra says, "From the very first (virtual) appointment, Jess and the team made the entire experience feel personal, relaxed, and genuinely special. Every step — from early sketches to fittings to fabric selection — was handled with such care, creativity, and expertise.

"What stood out most was how genuinely invested they were in bringing my vision to life. Jess and the team listened so thoughtfully, offered expert guidance, and went above and beyond at every stage to make the design feel personal, intentional, and unique. The quality of the materials and construction is unmatched, and my dress turned out even more beautiful than I ever imagined.

"I also felt completely taken care of throughout the entire process. Every fitting was warm, collaborative, and fun, and the team made me feel comfortable and confident. Wearing my gown on the day felt incredibly meaningful, and I’m endlessly grateful for the artistry, talent, and heart that went into creating it. I would highly, highly recommend The OWN Studio to anyone looking for a truly thoughtful, and unforgettable bridal experience"

OWN 2026 MOOD BOARD: DESIGN NOTES

BUBBLE HEMS; Light, playful and elevated, this subtle technique adds a beautiful softness and airy volume to more structured shapes. Experiment with hem lengths and layering for a fresh take on this design detail.

DRAPING; organic yet intentional, draped details sculpt and flatter the body while giving a soft, undone and effortless finish - especially over corsetry.

TRAINS REIMAGINED; detachable details, sheer sashes and exaggerated shapes. The train ‘moment’ has evolved into a transformative design feature.

Just landed on the wedding of REBECCA and STEPHEN.

Rebecca says, "My husband and I are both from Australia, but we met in London. With his Greek roots and so many of our holidays spent there, Athens felt like the perfect place for everyone to come together. The whole week unfolded like a holiday, with a love-filled party thrown right in the middle, which is exactly what we’d imagined for our guests and ourselves.

"On the morning of the wedding, all I wanted was to be surrounded by the people who make me feel most at ease – and that included my husband. We decided to spend the morning together, breaking from tradition, and it felt so natural. We shared breakfast and lunch with our friends and family, relaxing and soaking in every moment of anticipation.

"One of the defining moments of the day was the church ceremony. My husband is Greek Orthodox, so we embraced the full tradition. Experiencing those rituals with our guests felt considered, intimate, and undeniably special, a real anchor point of the day.

"The OWN Studio was the first, and only, place I visited. Knowing I wanted something modern, elegant, and minimal, it felt like the perfect fit. I knew I wanted a drop waist, and I was surprised by how much I loved the no-train silhouette on STYLE 082, it gave the dress a clean, contemporary edge. I paired it with a heavy mantilla lace veil, point-toe Manolo Blahnik pumps, and simple pearl jewellery.

"After the ceremony, I switched my hair from down to an up-do to show off the open keyhole back, it felt like slipping into a second look."

LAURA and HEIN got married on New Years Eve in London at the iconic Marylebone town hall and afterwards at the Devonshire in Soho. Laura says, "Christmas has been my favourite time of year for as long as I can remember. As much as we adore London, we always knew we would get married in Italy. Our shared love of everything Italian - the culture, the food, the romance (and of course a Negroni) made that decision easy.

"With our Puglia wedding booked, I reached out to
The OWN Studio and connected with Jess to begin designing my custom wedding dress. The sketching process was both exhilarating and, unexpectedly challenging! As an Interior Designer who spends her days making confident decisions for clients, I found myself completely overwhelmed by the sheer beauty and creativity Jess presented. Every sketch felt right and eventually I selected a style my heart led me too. Yet beneath it all I had a quiet certainty that I would also want to wear a slinky halter-neck silhouette, a shape I’ve always felt most beautiful in.

"As if reading my mind, the OWN team introduced me to their new collection, where I tried on STYLE 150 and fell instantly, deeply in love with its silk fabric, slender silhouette, low back and elegant scalf neckline.

"Knowing we would need to legally marry in London sparked an idea that transformed the administrative into something meaningful.

"The iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall felt like the perfect architectural backdrop for our ceremony. From there, we celebrated with Champagne and Guinness at the legendary Devonshire in Soho, before ending the day at the 1920s cabaret at Brasserie Zédel.

"I styled it with Jimmy Choo Sacora 85 heels with crystal ‘disco ball’ embellishments - entirely fitting for New Year’s Eve - and the ostrich boa from The OWN. I have never felt more magical. What a way to welcome 2026.

"The beauty of it all is that this dress isn’t finished with me yet. I already look forward to dyeing it and tailoring the hem shorter to wear again at my cousin’s wedding this June - a reminder that the most meaningful pieces are the ones that continue to live."

A beautifully chic Christmas wedding in the city for Mimi and Will; “When we got engaged and started planning our wedding, neither me or Will had ever thought we would get married in London,” said Mimi, “but when we decided we wanted to get married the weekend before Christmas and started looking at venues around the same time, just a year earlier, we fell in love with The Ned and how alive and magical London is at Christmas time. We knew we wanted to marry in a church and have Christmas carols with a choir and loved the beautiful Christopher Wren church St-Vedast-Alias-Foster, only a short walk from The Ned.

"When choosing my dress, I knew I wanted something that felt like me but elevated, was timeless and not trend led, but with a contemporary feel. When I tried on the duchesse satin dress, beautiful train and little jacket at OWN and walked out my family instantly knew it was the one. I loved that I could add or remove elements of it to have three different looks throughout the day.

"I paired the dress with Sophie Brietmeyer pearl drop earrings my mother had gifted me and my aunt’s vintage veil as my something borrowed. I wanted to bring some fun with my shoes so chose Jimmy Choo heels with diamanté detailing at the back, which you could see when I walked and lastly I had my grandmothers beautiful pearl chocker for the dinner part of the evening.

"Our incredible photographer, Louise, suggested doing our photos before the ceremony due to it being the day before the shortest of the year, and this part ended up being one of my favourite memories from the day. Having this intimate time with just me and Will to have these moments with each other and be present were so special because the day goes by so fast.

"Sometimes breaking tradition and doing what feels right for you can end up being the most special moment! We also had to make sure our little 10 month old dachshund, Crumpet, was honoured on the day and was on our wedding tiramisu! I love that little detail so much.”

Mimi wears STYLE 137 duchesse column gown with custom tapered straps, STYLE 131 train and 056 silk mikado jacket.
