On my first call with E+P, the words “we’re indoor people in an outside state” and her Pinterest board of colors, FUN, style made it abundantly clear.
While we briefly considered other venues, the Denver Art Museum’s 70s Gio Ponti-designed Sturm Pavilion’s space is one of its kind here in town.
There wasn’t much more to think about before signing on the dotted line … other than how much fun it was going to be inject the kind of personality found in their inspiration palette (above) into such a fantastically blank slate.
We’ve got an A+ team on board already, and next up is bringing this color palette to life next month in our design phase.

Centuries of story written into crumbling plaster. Gothic windows that needed nothing added to them. When A+J’s original venue couldn’t hold their guest count spaciously, we found Centro Cultural Tudor—an ex-church turned cultural space that had been on my radar for years.
The only question was what flower could hold its own against ruins this beautiful.
Cempasúchil. Obviously.

I can only speak for myself, but this business and my day-to-day life is often to busy that I *almost* skipped right over an honor that, let's be real, is humbling and a little mind boggling. I'm so glad I stopped to take it in, look around me, and well, this post is the antidote to that "running a million miles an hour" habit.⠀
