Monterey Bay is one of the richest marine sanctuaries in the world, and our experience with was nothing short of magical.
We spent hours on the water learning from passionate naturalists while spotting humpback whales, sea lions, and soaking in the wild beauty of the Pacific. What made it even more special is that this tour is dog friendly, meaning our four legged adventure buddy Septembear š¶ got to experience it right alongside us. Seeing whales breach while sharing the moment with her added a layer of joy that is hard to put into words even though she might have not been able to fully comprehend what was going on in the water āŗļø
Best time to go:
April through November for humpback whales ( these videos were shot in November)
July through October for blue whales
December through April for gray whales
But you can go anytime of the year because wildlife sightings happen year round.
Tours depart from Fishermanās Wharf in Monterey and typically last 3 to 4 hours, with longer excursions available for those wanting more time on the water. Morning tours are especially beautiful with calmer seas and softer light. (we went in the morning)

It takes real strength to pause and ask why we do what we do and to reevaluate the belief systems we inherited to see if they still align with the person I am now and the person I want to become.
I love the idea of creating life, a little being who comes into this world because two people love each other unconditionally. But having been a nanny in the past, I know the responsibilities that come with having a child. I know for myself that I want to feel more grounded, more financially stable, and able to create a life that allows me to show up as my best and most present self.
And if I am being completely honest, and this might be a little selfish, I love the freedom we currently have. The ability to do whatever we want, whenever we want, without the responsibility of caring for another human being. Having a dog has definitely been a good first step in understanding what it means to care for another being, but raising a child is a completely different level of devotion.
Even though I dislike the pressure that comes with having a biological clock, especially as a woman, I trust my body. I trust that she is capable, that she knows her timing, and that I can choose motherhood when I feel aligned, even if that is at forty.
Who else feels the weight of societyās expectations mixed with the whisper of their biological clock? Because I definitely do so and I am sharing this to let you know that you are not alone.

I am so grateful for all the ups and downs life has brought our way. Itās so easy to get swept into the negativity of the world but when we allow ourselves to move through discomfort, not rejecting it, but meeting it with curiosity and compassion, we begin to see the lessons woven into everything. Every experience becomes a doorway to deeper understanding, growth, and abundance.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and remember your life doesnāt have to meet anyoneās expectations. You came here to experience what it feels like to be alive, whatever that means to you āØ
After being together for 14 years, I can say with every cell of my body that true love does exist.
Is it going to be easy? No.
Is it going to be worth it? Absolutely.
When two souls meet and share a cosmic connection, words canāt fully describe the feeling. But even the deepest connection takes work, unconditional love, patience, and the ability to agree to disagree.

So many relationships fail because one or both people come into the relationship still in search for the āoneā.
Yes, you can always fall for someone else because sexual attraction is real, but when you commit to one person fully, the depths of love you will reach are beyond your wildest dreams. Itās an infinite journey of growth and adventure.
Today is a very special day. It is a blue moon. 11 years ago on August 31, 2012, there was also a blue moon. And on that night, I proposed to Kim along the Embarcadero of San Francisco, only 1 year after we met. In hindsight, it sounds a little rushed, especially because we had a long-distance relationship at the time so we had only really been together in person for 4 months out of that year. But this was my way of saying āI am 100% committed to you.ā She said yes and the rest is history!
If I had to list 3 of the key ingredients to a successful relationship they would be:
1. Commitment: To trust the other person completely knowing that the trust is mutual; to be their ride or die, their partner in crime; to always give your best.
2. Honest & Deep Communication: To always be able to communicate your feelings, your fears, and your struggles; to never assume the other person can read your mind or your body language; to be able to communicate without the fear of judgment.
3. Unconditional Love: To hold space for someone to be their unapologetic authentic self; to love without expectations; to give & hold space to be vulnerable and still love without judgment; to be able to agree to disagree.
