Finn has embraced this so well. Never wavering, total self discipline to stick to the diet. He has repaired the damage done to his intestine and I applaud him for this... It's hard for an 11 year old to have so many diet exclusions... Imagine, as a kid not being able to have a McDonald's bun or a Dominos pizza with making adjustments... Only being able to eat a limited choice on restaurant menus and even having to check the Haribo packets 😂
The good news is he has discovered new and different foods throughout this process and is healthier and stronger - thriving in sport & school.

The level of research and reading required before going into a restaurant means 'winging it' as a walk in is risky...
The ' Find me GF ' app really was gold on this trip and didn't let us down in terms of helping us find restaurants that were GF safe and had good options available...
Above all, I feel for Finn when he can't just tuck into the garlic bread when it comes up or eat without thinking... He is brilliant and so aware, I respect his maturity towards this so much and he even said to me last night " I don't want this to impact where the rest of the family wants to go on holiday ' ❤️

It's been a proper emosh week with end of year performances, leavers Assembly and the clapping out ceremony today which reduced Finn to floods of tears...
