I will say it takes a decent amount of power and so I do have to be conscious, but having the ability to drink a latte in some of the most beautiful places ever is a gift

It is obviously hard to fit an entire story in a 60 second video, so here’s a bit more.
When I was 17, I complimented this girl’s hair in a coffee shop that conversation eventually led to me finding out that there was a small climbing gym at the local college.
At this time I was living in a super small South Dakota town and had no athletic outlet. I wasn’t unhealthy by any means, but I wasn’t strong.
Things started to shift when I first went to the climbing gym, and after that first day, I knew I wanted to get better. I lifted weight in my room for two months, and consistently went to the climbing gym.
After six months of that, I had found so much joy in my life and was completely hooked. I had completely changed my body and was the strongest I had ever been. I gained 30 pounds of muscle and outgrew most of my clothes🫢
Wow pop culture tells you to be horrified at something like that, I was ecstatic. For the first time in my life, I wasn’t just this skinny, weak, lanky girl. I was strong and had finally found my confidence🌀
Climbing eventually led to my first real relationship, incredible friendships, and a reignited dream to live in a van.
It’s been almost 4 1/2 years of rock climbing, and I have never been happier. It has brought me to some of the most beautiful places and allowed me to push my body in ways that I never knew was possible.
It’s the type of sports that changes you and I think that is really cool❤️

life in a van is not always as cheap as some may think, but I’m happy to be able to comfortably live my life for what people pay for rent in some places 😅

welcome to my lil home on wheels that I have lived in for the past two years!!
she recently got a renovated and is now *quite literally* the van of my dreams 🥹
It is a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter 2500, that fun fact: used to be an old amazon cargo vehicle!! my build cost around $30,000 (initially) but I have put a lot of work into it since then + made upgrades so at this point probably around $40,000
There is a fully functioning kitchen with running HOT and COLD water + an electric water pump. Not to mention TONS of storage + my 110l fridge
I also have a bench with my composting toilet that is fully electric + vented to the outside to prevent smells! + another counter that houses my espresso machine 🤪
Powering all of this is a full and set up with 540ah lithium batteries, 3000w inverter, shore power, DC-DC charging, and solar!
Other things I have in my van: a massive garage for gear, a mini deck, AND a flat mounted starlink!!
I also have to give a HUGE shoutout to for building me all new drawer faces + removing the old stove I had in here and replacing it with these beautiful counters and my new two-burner!

I’ve been nomadic since I was 3 years old. my family traveled in motorhomes + different rigs for the entirety of my childhood.
my mom was a photographer + blogger and my dad did odd job contractor work to support my families travels.
one could say they were the OG “influencers” having been sponsored by different companies, going on tour to showcase our RV that ran off veggie oil, and even having NY times articles written about them 👀
and i loved my child hood…BUT
my thoughts about road life have shifted dramatically over the years. for a long time I adored it (though i was young and don’t remember much) … and then slowly became resentful of traveling because i craved stability as a pre-teen/teenager.
so when i was 16/17 I thought i’d be going to college.
at 18 I fell in love and wanted to get married.
and at 19, i bought a van all alone with $10,000 to my name.
a part of me has always known I would end up in a van, even at the age of 14 when I hated being on the road.
so, like some people become doctors or lawyers like their parents…i bought a van and began traveling like mine.
when i started traveling again i was struck by this sense of normalcy I had not felt in a long time, like the puzzle pieces of my life were clicking into place.
the stability i had while living in Colorado + Texas was what I needed when i was younger, but….
being on the road is my safe space, somewhere I feel grounded in my identity.
starting vanlife feels overwhelmingly familiar and even though I’ve only been on the road solo for six months, this has been my identity + life for as long as I can remember 🫶🏼
