LIBRARY LISTS for the full list 👇
A really good week for 🧵

The best thing about these roundups is that I can now scroll through Threads for ages and feel productive about it...

"Just doing some work..." 😌
To be fair, kids need both names and sounds, and research backs teaching them in conjunction. This collection just makes the sound part just as doable at home as singing that familiar song 🎶

Guess how many LFLs we visited 🥲 Then count and see if you guessed right! 👇

Did you do anything to celebrate Little Free Library week?
I got a few DMs last week after my library story asking about my favorite local spots for books, so I’m making it a series 😍

This summer I’m home with my girls, but that doesn’t mean we’re staying home. We’re getting out, exploring bookish spaces across Minnesota, and I’m bringing you along.

I’ll be visiting indie bookshops, libraries, and stocking Little Free Libraries at parks. Some of these places will be worth the drive if you’re local. But even if you’re not in Minnesota, I’ll share what makes each space great - what to look for in your own libraries, how to evaluate a good indie bookshop, what I’m putting in those Little Free Libraries and why.

Books are everywhere in our communities. Let’s find them together 🫶

Drop a 📚 if you’re following along this summer, and let me know where you think we should head next!

P.S. When I find great staff picks or themed collections, I’ll link them in my Library Lists so you can grab the titles no matter where you are.
Finally getting around to sharing my end of the school year collection as promised 💞 comment END for the full list I've curated on

Take a moment to engage with this to show insta you don't totally hate single photo posts?!

The backstory:
Eighteen months ago, a friend planted the seed that maybe I could create downloadable book lists to help parents with the everyday struggles kids face. At the time I was in the thick of newborn life, but the idea stuck with me.

Earlier this year, I realized I didn’t want my work to center on constantly posting Amazon links as my main way of making money. I wanted something more values-aligned. Something that truly helps parents use books as tools for raising thoughtful, empathetic kids.

So, I started dreaming up a new way of doing things. And now…it’s here. My brand-new website is LIVE. 🎉

To celebrate, I’ve put together a free guide featuring favorite essential picture books from 30+ incredible creators who work with kids every day as parents and educators. It’s waiting for you on the site.

This is just the beginning of something bigger. I’m so thankful you’re here with me.
Greetings! 👋

Now that the longest month of the century has concluded & we are ✨ finally ✨ in a new month (hi, February), I thought I’d take a moment to reintroduce myself.

Things you’ll find here:
1️⃣ Inclusive books, especially social-emotional learning titles & books with practical, real-life applications
2️⃣ Play & learning inspo + resources, especially connected to literacy
3️⃣ Relatable parenting content & connection in the form of real-life tips & behind-the-scenes content ❤️

I value…
❣️inclusivity
❣️connection
❣️encouragement

I believe parenting is political (as are books), and you will find social justice themes within much of my content.

I am glad you’re here!

‼️Comment KLM and I’ll send you a link to my favorite kids’ books sorted by category. ‼️

Elizabeth
Hi friends! 👋

It’s been a while (years!) since I’ve introduced myself! I’m Elizabeth— a mom busy reading books & raising kids ❤️ I’m a parent to two little ones (both IVF babies!), former elementary teacher, and book lover. I’m based in Minnesota.

On my website & socials, I aim to support parents and their littles. I share parenting content with a focus on children’s books (especially inclusive & SEL picture books), toys, and activities & resources to empower families through reading and play.

I dream of publishing my own children’s book someday—my idea list is long! I’m also on the founding board of, a nonprofit providing diverse books to kids across Minnesota.

These new photos (by, a fellow IVF mom!) felt like the perfect excuse to reintroduce myself.

Thank you for being here and for making this space so meaningful! 🫶
