I genuinely cannot believe it. Less than three years ago I decided to start making TikTok history videos and I was so MORTIFIED about people at uni finding out so I blocked as many people as I could. I tried to be super serious, tone down my accent, to match the people who I was so used to seeing on my screens. But one day I stopped giving a fuck! And I’m so glad because I love talking about scandals and slagging off Henry VIII and giving working class histories their time to shine too. This platform and career is everything to me, and I’m so grateful everyday that I have it, and do not ever take it for granted. I love you guys, reading your comments and DMs make me crease and I find it so special when I have the chance to meet you guys in real life.
I like to thank my absolutely gorgeous HLD family for being with me every step of the way, I am so lucky. And to for taking a chance on me for my debut book, it was such a crazy process and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.
