While I was traveling this week, it reminded me why traveling is one of my biggest passions. Traveling is personal & looks different for everyone - what energizes you or inspires you, what you want to see & experience, how long you want to spend at each location, etc.
HOWEVER, something that traveling provides in almost every instance is the opportunity to escape your reality & learn about someone else’s.
For me, I have grown so much as a person through the many adventures I’ve been lucky enough to have. I’ve met amazing people from all over the world. I’ve seen places I never thought I would see in my lifetime 🤍
Travel moments stick with you. The memories of them transport you back to a moment you felt so alive, so small in the grand scheme of things, & so at peace 🌿

Our last day this trip was spent in Vancouver & I didn’t really have anything special planned, but was so pleasantly surprised with this city!
It felt so much cleaner than most large cities in the US, had plants & trees EVERYWHERE, was so active, & extremely diverse.
My favorite spots were Stanley Park and the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Chinese Garden. Both were such refreshing, peaceful areas of the city 🌿
We also had some delicious food in Vancouver! My favorite was Lupo, a local Italian restaurant. We tried every course & I was impressed with every bite 😋
Our short time here definitely made me want to come back to explore this area more. If you’ve been to Vancouver, what’s your favorite spot?
Ketchikan, Alaska stole my heart! The coastal town is surrounded by mountains & is so picturesque. We had the most amazing weather while we were here that made for the perfect day.
🛳 Take a boat out on the water to see Alaska’s first lighthouse, spot some wildlife, & see all the amazing homes right on the coast
🦅 Ketchikan is known for all of its beautiful bald eagles so keep your eyes on the treetops! We saw so many that we stopped pointing them out!
🌈 Stroll through the shops & admire the cute buildings on the famous Creek Street, pictured here
🪵 Go to the Alaskan lumber jack show! We didn’t have enough time to go here but the crowd could be heard from streets away & it looked so fun
😋 Enjoy some of the local restaurants! We tried Alaskan Crepe Co and New York Cafe and both were fantastic!
🌲 Ketchikan has tons of totem poles & replica totem poles from the native people that preserve the history of this area
I highly recommend visiting Ketchikan if you’re in Alaska! Such a quaint & enjoyable coastal town 💛
For the last several years, I’ve been working on a travel goal that I’m so excited to say I accomplished this week! I’ve officially traveled to all 50 states in the US! 🎉
For me, I didn’t count a state if I just drove through it. I had to do something intentional in each state & spend time there.
As a travel lover, it has always been important to me to explore my own backyard, & I’m so glad I have! America has some of the most diverse terrains & landscapes, some amazing cities, & great people. I have loved traveling around the US as much as I have to appreciate the beauty of this country.

The easiest airport to fly into for Alaska is Anchorage. However, a lot of destinations are several hours from Anchorage so how do you get around?
We took the Alaskan Railroad & it was such an amazing experience! There are a few different routes & destinations, but we took the train from Anchorage to Seward. They also have routes north into Alaska, including Denali!
The train took about 5 hours & had beautiful mountain views the whole time. We went through different weather, saw some animals, changed elevations, everything! There’s a cafe on board with snacks & drinks for purchase. It’s also assigned seats so no stress there 😊
It was such a fun, scenic, & relaxing way to travel & I highly recommend if you’re looking for a way to get around! A lot of cruises leave from Seward, so it’s a great option!

Kenai Fjords Tours has some awesome boat tour adventures to choose from leaving out of Seward, Alaska, but their most popular is the Coastal Classic tour. It’s a 6 hour excursion that takes you out into Resurrection Bay, Kenai Fjords National Park, & beyond.
We saw glaciers, waterfalls, humpback whales, orcas, porpoises, otters, sea lions, mountain goats, & so many birds. You’re able to walk around the ship the whole time to take in different views & it was truly amazing.
The highlight of the tour is the Aialik Glacier, the largest glacier in this region. We were able to get so close to the glacier from our boat & stayed for a long time to watch it. It was freezing cold, & unlike anything I’ve ever done 🥶
The tour comes with a lunch & snack that are provided, but the boat also has a bar & items available for purchase.

For those of you who have been following along with me for awhile, you’ll know I’ve been working on visiting all 50 states in the US!
I hit my 49th state last year in SOUTH DAKOTA! It was one of my favorite US states with all its natural beauty! It’s super underrated in my opinion. This photo is in Badlands National Park, one of my favorite spots we visited in the state.
There were many complications that kept me from crossing off my 50th and final state last year. HOWEVER, I’m at the airport right now about to board the plane to my LAST STATE!! I’m so excited!!

While we’ve been slowing down some of our travels, it’s given me a great opportunity to reflect on the amazing experiences we’ve had so young in our lives. We’ve seen so much of the world & grown so much because of it.
One of the most magical travel moments I’ve had was this private catamaran ride in Cabo. We went out to see Lovers Beach and the famous arch at sunset. We were told before we sailed out it was too early in the season to see whales, but all of a sudden, right when we were by the arch, we saw whales in the distance! We had the most gorgeous weather, lots of champagne, & the best company.
Take the time to create these moments because they turn into the most special memories 💛

When we visited Falmouth, Jamaica, we took a bamboo raft down the famous Martha Brae River!
All bamboo rafts have a guide who pushes you down the River like a gondola. Ours serenaded us & told us about the history of the area & their culture.
Our guide actually let us take turns pushing so we could get the experience, & it is so mush harder than it looks! Those bamboo paddles are so heavy & long that it was challenging to move them in the water, so it made me appreciate our guide even more for the hundreds of trips he takes down the River pushing visitors.
It was so peaceful & a great way to see the natural beauty of Jamaica! Highly recommend the next time you’re there! ☀️

HEY FRIENDS! I’m so sorry for being so absent for so long! I haven’t been traveling very much lately & for good reason - for those of you who don’t know already, I’M PREGNANT! 🤍
I’m halfway through my pregnancy & because of everything happening in my life, just haven’t been traveling as much. We’ve gone on a few fun trips over the last few months that I’ll share more about, & we’re going on our babymoon this week to a destination I’m SO excited about! So stay tuned for that! ✈️
