Discovered a new hidden creative gem in the lanes this morning -

I’ve been meaning to try it out for a while so when they kindly offered us a kids pottery session we had to try it out. Honestly it’s been the highlight of our half term so far. If you are a family in Brighton & Hove looking for a creative workshop that offers a calm & supportive space for kids to get hands-on, this is the spot.

It’s set right in the heart of the Lanes, so perfectly central & easy to get to! While the kids got settled with squash & exploring the clay tools, I was handed a cuppa (total bliss!).

What I loved & the kids responded to, was a light touch guided session. We learned some hand-building pottery techniques, experimented with clay & tools plus they made a pinch pot each & then the kids had the freedom to create what they wanted. We also had the option to have it fired in their kiln & come back to glaze!

We had a lot of fun in a super calm, positive studio
setting & we’ll definitely be heading back. They have lots of weekend sessions šŸ’–

I’m always looking for new spots in Brighton to keep the kids entertained—where has been your highlight of the half term so far? šŸ‘‡
As 2025 comes to an end, I’ve been spending some time reflecting on this page. While this year I have focused a lot on sharing our local days out & what’s on, I wanted to finish the year by going back to the roots of why I started this page in the first place.

I know first-hand that when you’re navigating the highs & lows of motherhood, finding the right local support can be a struggle. After my own challenging journey, I know that having the right pregnancy specialists & post-postnatal care changes everything!
