After two grueling (though kinda fun because we all got to hang out together) days of counting, cleaning, tidying, restocking, and even a little shuffling sections around, we are BACK OPEN!

Note we’re just now diving into all of the boxes that arrived while we were counting, which includes this week’s new releases. Lots and lots and lots of restocks (including challenge titles) expected over the next couple of days.

We are here til 7 today and have missed you! 🫶
Reminder: We’ll be closed tomorrow (Monday, January 5) so that we can do our annual inventory, which means we’ll be counting, moving, cleaning, and tidying every book, every sticker, every gift, everyTHING in the shop.

If you place an online order (highly encouraged—it’s a big deal for a shop to close down for a day), we’ll tackle it as soon as we’re back on Tuesday, when we’ll be right back to our regular hours.

We’re open til 6 this evening, so there’s still time for you to pop in and stock up if you need to. And thank you for your understanding about tomorrow as we get everything ship-shape for the new year!
In case you missed it... our 2026 annual Reading Challenge (our seventh!) has a new twist! Each month’s purchase comes with a super-cute patch (designed by our bookseller extraordinaire ), and if you complete the challenge, at the end of the year, you’ll be awarded a challenge tote to affix them to so you can brag about your accomplishment all around town (and beyond—you can participate from afar).

Get all of the details in the challenge link in our bio!

We’re super-duper excited to share the details of our seventh annual Reading Challenge!

Our challenge is the perfect way for you to read throughout 2026, expand your literary horizons, and support an indie bookshop all year long. And—exciting news—this year, prizes will be awarded monthly AND at the end of the year!

Here’s how it works: Just purchase a book from us in each of the monthly categories of 2026. With each month’s purchase, you’ll earn an ADORABLE BOOKISH PATCH (designed by our bookseller,, who also illustrated our beyond-cute challenge poster). We’ll track your purchases on a challenge card kept at the shop. Readers with completed cards at the end of the year will also receive an exclusive challenge TOTE that you can affix all of your patches to—they’re iron-on!

Our JANUARY 2026 category is AGAINST ALL ODDS (swipe to see this month’s patch—how can you resist??), and we have a selection of recommendations both in the shop and on the challenge page of our site.

Who’s up for the challenge?!

(PS—yes, you can participate from afar—just select the shipping option when checking out)
Happy New Year’s Eve from this lil’ bookish nook.

🎉🎉🎉 Happy pub day eve to East Nashville’s romance superstar! 🎉🎉🎉

Tomorrow is the release day for IN YOUR DREAMS, her fourth (and final—sob!) romance set in postcard-perfect, fictional Rome, Kentucky. And which our bookseller Mat has declared completely swoon-worthy.

We’ve been super-lucky to handle the signed preorder campaigns for all four of the books in the series, and it’s been such a delight to send them to eager fans all over the country... and see her devoted, enthusiastic readership grow with each title. It’s so big now, in fact, that we sold out of signed preorders. That said, we do have a small reserve of signed copies available for purchase IN THE SHOP tomorrow. Come grab one before they’re all gone! (Heads up: any new online orders placed will be unsigned copies.)

And CONGRATS, SARAH! We love you so much and are so fiercely proud of you.
This means the absolute world to us. Thank you, Nashville readers! 🫶
