Before our wedding with family and friends, we had our civil ceremony just by ourselves in an enchanting little castle on a rock. Just us and an overgrown garden to explore.
It was the perfect chance to calm down and gather some much needed energy before the whirlwind that would be our weekend. We made some memories that we will treasure forever along the way.
It went by no means perfect - we were in a rush to get there because there was so much left to take care of for the weekend. We almost arrived late to our own legal act and I even broke Roxy's dress while taking some photos on a cute forest swing. Fortunatly Roxy picked up sewing a while ago, so she just fixed it right then and there.
It was chaotic, it was heartfelt, it sure was a little clumsy. We even took our own wedding pictures which really brought us back to how we discovered our big mutual passion photography. What I am trying to say is - it was us in every possible way and I wouldn't want to change anything about that day for anything in the world ♡

It only felt right to have our engagement in one of those places and to be honest we would have loved to elope right then and there between rock and ivy, beneath the wide umbrian sky.
It felt exciting and intimate at the same time and we'll treasure these memories forever.

Some of you may be a little confused on who we even are popping up from the realm of forgotten times. After all it has been almost 2.5 years since our last post. So your memory of us may be a little hazy.
Some things may change a little on this channel - just as you probably have in our absence. That is good, it means that you and we are growing - ever evolving in this strange world we call our home. Much has happened, there are many stories to be told and even some big announcements to be made. But we will get to that in time.
For now we will leave you with a few impressions from our most dear adventures from the midnight sun of northern Sweden and tranquil sunsets at Dutch beaches to the romantic hills of our beloved Umbria and the magical forests we call our home.
I guess what we are trying to say is, while we were absent, we never stopped creating - but shifted to capturing the world around us just for our own pleasure. It was a freeing experience and a time we needed. Be that as it may, spending time with fellow creatives has reminded us time and again how much we have missed sharing our stories and thriving together.
This message is getting long now, so I guess we will have to fill you in on the rest another time. You can make up your own stories about the captures in the meantime.
So, welcome back we hope you are well! What did we miss?
Initially, I planned to pause on social media for only a week, but my body and creativity needed longer to fully recharge. I felt stressed and exhausted, because I just came from my exam period and also worked at university and our own photography business. So a week turned into a month and I am glad that I took the time to catch my breath again and to give my creativity the space it desperately craved for.
I spent a lot of time outside, my sister visited us, Richard and I went on a trip to Italy and of course, I took on some creative endeavours.

The girl on his side was curiosity in person and even though she had a pure loving heart she attracted trouble wherever she walked. "Let's take the shortcut through the tunnel instead. It will be an adventure", she'd suggested when they realized that they had lost track of time and wouldn't make it to the village before moonrise. He didn't know if him agreeing to her plan was a wise decision or absolutely stupid, but the prospect of walking back to town after nightfall wasn't promising either.
So, they cautiously entered the fabled tunnel and prayed for the best...

When I first read the faded note amidst my studies on the lost swords of Nirn, I paid it little mind. Curse my childish foulishness for it has now etched its words in crimson letters into memory.
The search felt so easy at first. Underneath a steamy waterfall I found the siren and just as recorded in the manuscript she bargained three wishes to grant me one of the fabled blades. Her first wish was simple - "A fork from the nightsingers". I was able to obtained it much easier than expected. On a moonless night I joined their intoxicating ball and pocketed one amidst the folly celebration.
"A sword for a sword" - was what she asked for next. There was only a single one I knew of in my little backwater town. Metal is expensive and a skilled blacksmith rare as gold. Steeling from my father seemed brusk, but I didn't expect him to disown and banish me. How could he, when I did it to the best of all of us? Well - it doesn't matter anymore for it is done and in the past. May the old gods and the new have mercy on me for her final request because I have nowhere left to go...
