3. Three generations of Hmong women outside their home. From left: Nhù (56), Vy (7)and Hoa (30). Within Hmong culture textiles are central to identity and various aspects of everyday life. Ancestral skills such as embroidery, batik, understanding symbolism implemented on the textiles and other handicrafts is passed down from mother to daughter through a watch, practice and learn system - A key aspect of their childhood.
Such special meetings I will cherish and remember for life!
