We hit the Clayton Heights location and started with chips and guac because obviously. Then flautas happened and I had no notes. Crunchy, cheesy, salsa verde doing the most. Our shared love language there is the quesabirria. The birria broth for dipping is unreal and has my husband acting like he’s discovering meat for the first time.
I switched it up and tried a Supreme taco de pescado and it was massive. Easily the biggest fish taco of my life and so delicious. I would one hundred percent order it again and might have a new go-to.
And if you needed an excuse to go, Taco Fest is officially happening at Hugo’s. Street tacos or Mexican beer are six dollars, margaritas are nine dollars and there’s a take-home bundle you can ask about when you order. Consider this your sign to treat yourself to tacos and make dinner easy on the whole family.
