Here’s how to keep your nutrition up without stressing your jaw 👇
🥤 Fruit smoothies (add spinach or kale for extra greens)
🍝 Soft bread, rice & pasta for fiber and fullness
🐟 Fish, eggs, Greek yogurt & cottage cheese for protein
🥦 Cook your veggies until they’re easy to chew
The goal: nutritious AND easy to chew. That’s it!

Here’s what a TMJ Orthotic or, Mandibular Orthopedic Repositioning Appliance (MORA) looks like.
💥 It may LOOK similar to a nightguard, but it is NOT the same as a nightguard. A TMJ Orthotic has a very specific prescription built into it that is unique to each individual. A skilled and experienced TMJ Dentist knows how to find that prescription. My mentor would always say a nightguard is like reading glasses and a TMJ orthotic is like prescription glasses - they may look similar and are worn similarly, but it’s the prescription built into them that makes the difference!
💥 In addition to utilizing TMJ orthotics, I find that it can be helpful to incorporate additional treatment modalities such as craniofacial therapy, myofascial release, facial massagers, craniosacral therapy and osteopathic manual jaw manipulation done by a skilled and experienced TMJ Dentist!
