Kicking off the new year with some awesome before and after shots of our recent project for! We stripped, inspected, and cleaned an R32 VR6 cylinder head, which was in surprisingly good shape despite some carbon build-up. After installing new stem seals and machining the surface, it's all set to be fitted back into a mk5 golf with a new turbo conversion.

Milled out all the unwanted material, dig out the crack and get everything nice and square before welding it back up and then cleaning everything down, I left the welds inside the sump for a bit of extra strength but outside she looks sweet as!

Last week a big box of Titanium turned up from to finish off the exhaust 🤙
As I am away working ATM, Alex called over to mine one evening after his Aqua Aerobics class, and jumped on with finishing where we left off# 💪.
He has taken all the titanium bits with him. This will be finished up wile I am away also 🤙
One more job ✅ off the list.

Today was a good day in the shed 🤙 Alex called over after work to see how my recovery was going and chat 💩.
As he was here he was feeling left out because I was working on the Fuel tank mount and he was just sitting watching. So I handing him the welder to get cracking on the punk tank 🤣🤣
The fuel tank is now modified and welded up, the nudge bar is now repositioned and welded in, there is loads of clearance at Ride height.
The Puke tank is now 90% welded up, ready for a bit more mocking up in the car 🤙

Thankfully after doing a thorough inspection on the head everything proved to be perfect and just simply needed a little bit of welding, minimum surface and then a full clean down and assemble ready to race again!
At the same time I also enlarged his spark plug recesses and made a custom spark plug socket so that he can use a larger 3/4 racing spark plug.
Looking forward to seeing the car back out racing at the track again and seeing what its fully capable of 👌🏻
