Nothing fancy, just running every day and having fun! Grateful for my body and mind carring me along the way this year.

To all my friends and family. Wherever you are and whatever you’re chasing, time, happiness, money, or something else entirely, I hope you find it in 2026.

For me, it’s all about loving everyday!āœŒļøšŸ¼
Had the absolute pleasure of attending The Running Event (TRE) in San Antonio this week. I’ve followed it for years, and finally experiencing it did not disappoint. TRE is everything running. People from around the world coming together to share passion, products, and innovation. The week was packed with early morning community runs, nighttime events, and plenty of miles with both familiar and new faces. Action-packed and absolutely worth it.

Seeing upcoming innovations and the direction our industry is taking was a blast. Connecting with runners, retailers, and brand partners gave me a mountain of ideas and a few new friends, All united by a shared passion for this sport.

Also, catching up with my extended OOFOS family and sharing in their vision and growth was a privilege.
🤩 Stay tuned… Some exciting things are coming down the pipeline.
Thank YOO!

Throughout the week, I kept reminding myself I was here for work, not just living what felt like the perfect few days. This change has been amazing. When I decided to overhaul my career, my goal for this chapter was simple: learn something new, meet new people, do my best and most importantly, have fun.

Wicked week!
Thanks, San Antonio! āœŒļøšŸ¼
Dear Running Gods… seriously?

When we line up for a race, mindset is everything. The nerves, the emotions, the excitement. I always try to remind myself of the positives. How strong my training has made me. How consistent I have been. How good I have felt. This day was no different. I toed the line feeling ready, confident, and grateful. My goal was simple: to trust my preparation and fitness.

Just like life, racing is about controlling what we can. The rest-weather conditions, unpredictable events…they are out of our hands. I just wanted to run my race, stay present, and enjoy it.

The first half felt incredible. Smooth. Controlled. Strong. Right where I wanted to be. It truly felt like my day. Then the running Gods stepped in. Out of nowhere, my right shoe decided it had seen enough. The heel literally split open. I tried ripping off the piece and continuing, but the shoe was done. The integrity was gone, and so was my race.

Was I frustrated? Of course. But I also had to laugh (days later). What are the odds?! After a call to my wife and coach, I began the long, awkward walk back to the start line, one shoe on and one in hand. It was definitely a day I will never forget. 🄓

As tough as it was, watching my nephew absolutely crush a massive PB made it all worth it. I’ll be honest, part of me wanted to jump in the car and head home. It’s not easy watching people celebrate as my day went terribly wrong, but running is bigger than one moment and one person.

I’m grateful to still be able to do what I do. I know there will be a day when these miles stop, this chapter closes, and my body won’t move like this anymore, but until that day comes, I’ll show up, I’ll chase progress, and I’ll run with gratitude.

Huge congrats to both my nephews. One who finished his first marathon in Toronto last month, and the other who dropped a massive PB in Hamilton. And thank you to, the volunteers, and everyone cheering out there for making it another great event.

Bad days sting, but the good ones are so sweet. So I’ll keep chasing. I am either stupid or stubborn with this sport, but I take the good and the bad and share them along the way.

Onward šŸ‘ŠšŸ¼
🤫 Someone’s getting back in Race shape

Great tune-up race today! šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø
Felt amazing to celebrate my hometown and the sport that has given me so much. Overall, I’m happy with my execution and super pumped for my buddy who completed his first half marathon šŸ™ŒšŸ¼

The longer we run, the easier it is to take this distance for granted, but 21.1 km is a big deal. Everyone out there today should be proud. Thank you to all the volunteers,, and for a great, well-organized event.

Happy to snag third in my age group with a 1:33:45, but what truly excites me most is realizing I’ve finally found a training approach that will carry me through my 50s. My body feels stronger than ever, my mind is sharper, and today, I erased any doubt that PBs and speed are behind me.

I might have to approach it differently than before, but if the thrill and the results line up like this, I’m all in. šŸ’ŖšŸ¼šŸ”„
One of the greatest gifts that running has given me is the ability to experience the world in a way few things can. Every run is a chance to discover a new city, a new neighbourhood, or a new trail. Even as a kid, running through the streets of my old neighbourhood, I would catch myself noticing little details…like the way the light hit a familiar street or the beauty in ordinary places that most people rush past.

These days, whether I’m running at home, on vacation or on a business trip in a new city, I find myself thinking: I wish others could see what I see right now. Running lets us step into the world, unfiltered, and take it all in.

But it’s not always just beauty. On a recent run in Ottawa, I found myself passing through areas where people were clearly struggling, facing hardships I can only begin to imagine. It was a reminder that while I was out there, living my best life on a perfect day, not everyone gets that same luxury. Some people are just fighting to make it through the day.

And what it’s taught me is that gratitude matters. Every step I take, every mile I cover, every sunrise I get to witness on the run is a gift.

So if you’re fortunate enough to go for a run, a walk, or even just take a moment outside, take time to really feel it. Be grateful for what you have, because we never know what battles others quietly carry.

The statue of Terry Fox reminded me of his words and struggles:

ā€œI’m not giving up. I’m not going to give up. It’s got to keep going without me.ā€

Happy Saturday!
Feeling incredibly blessed after a perfect week of family, running, and the sea, life truly doesn’t get any better.

Wrapped up another solid week of training here in the Bahamas šŸ‡§šŸ‡ø under the blistering sun. It’s always a pleasure to return, and I never take for granted the opportunity to enjoy life’s simple moments.

•Grateful for my family, and that my kids still enjoy hanging out with their dad.
•Grateful for my body that continues to carry the load through this training cycle.

I absolutely love running while on vacation. There’s no better way to see a country come to life than in those quiet early morning hours off the resort path.

Onward to another week! āœŒļøšŸ¼
Easy 10K recovery this morning. šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļøā˜€ļø

I’ve had a few people ask if I’m training for another marathon after seeing my stories.

Truth is, I’ve always said I run to run and not just to race. For the past while, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Working on some ā€fasterā€ stuff but no pressure. Just lacing up and chasing that feeling.

But over time… the itch for something longer came back.

This summer, I was chatting with a few 30-somethings at the track about marathon times and goals, when one of them dropped the dreaded ā€œcomplimentā€
ā€œWow, that’s great…for your age.ā€ šŸ˜…

Anyone who knows me, especially my wife and probably my parents, knows nothing motivates me more than someone subtly suggesting I can’t or shouldn’t do something. That moment hit a nerve in the best way.

If I’m being honest my last couple marathon cycles were tough. Life got in the way, and I leaned into the excuses. But stepping back might’ve been the smartest move. Because now, I’m back with more drive than I had, even in my first build.

Kicked things off with back-to-back 80K weeks to start the build. I’m grateful for what my body is letting me do and curious to see what’s left in the tank.

I’ve done this before…I know motivation comes and goes. But discipline? That’s what carries us.

So here’s to the heat, the hills, and a hell of a lot of summer miles.

Happy Sunday.āœŒļøšŸ”„
I’m not usually one to speak publicly about politics. It’s just never been my style. But these days, it seems harder and harder to have a conversation without it creeping in.

On a day like today, though, I want to encourage all Canadians to stand tall and be proud. šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

I love this country. I celebrate it every day in my own way, but today is special. Today we pause to honour our freedoms...the freedom to live, speak, and believe in what we choose.

Times will always change, and challenges will come and go. But our perspective and how we choose to see the world shape our happiness and outlook.

So here’s to choosing optimism, gratitude, and pride in the place we call home.

Happy Canada Day!

Always proud. āœŒšŸ¼šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦
Please join me in wishing my beautiful wife Mary a Happy 50th Birthday!

From high school sweethearts to now, we’ve grown up side by side, through every season, every joy, and every challenge. I’ve had the absolute privilege of a front-row seat to your strength, your kindness, your laughter… and somehow, you keep getting better with time.

Here’s to 50 years of grace, love, laughter, and your next chapter.

Ilu ā™„ļø
Big thanks to the beautiful City of Ottawa and the incredible running community for the energy, motivation, and pure inspiration this weekend. This sport has given me so much and there’s something about watching a marathon that brings out the best of the human spirit. Determination, unity, resilience were all evident yesterday. It’s a reminder of what we’re capable of when we move with purpose and support each other. Thanks to all those who came to say hišŸ‘‹šŸ¼!

Congratulations to all who ran!
You’re incredible!

Here’s to many more miles together! āœŒļøšŸ¼

Happy RecOOvery! šŸ˜‰
