Since parking on S. Perry is prohibited, we knew a parking lot of needed, but certainly didnāt want to add an asphalt lot to take away from the historical integrity of the house/property. Pulling inspiration from prominent estates around England and France, we chose to continue our pea-gravel driveway from the back entrance to the front and used a diagonal grid pattern design with astroturf over the concrete pads. Originally we had proposed 4āx4ā concrete pavers with grass in the same pattern, but after 3 concrete companies told us that with the soil here the pavers would warp pretty quickly, and that it would cost 4 times the amount, we went back to the drawing board. Absolutely loving the design, we didnāt want to change the look so we got creative! Thankfully it worked amazing and we couldnāt be happier with the way they turned out! Oh, and if you happen to think otherwise please keep it to yourselves because any negative/hurtful comments will be instantly deleted š. Keep checking back for more progress updates on the exterior!
