This might be the clearest water in Australia … 🤯

Part 6 / 100: Welcome to The Aquarium in Yallingup, one of the most beautiful rock pools in the South West. It’s a personal favourite because it is the most beautiful crystal clear, turquoise water and you can have it all to yourself if you visit at sunrise!

📍 The Aquarium is in Yallingup, around a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Perth.

⏱️ 1 to 2 hours is enough time to walk down, swim (more like an ice bath if I’m being honest) and enjoy the coastal views! If you’re beach hopping around Yallingup and Smiths Beach, it fits perfectly into a bigger day out.

🤿 The Aquarium is home to heaps of fish and other marine life (hence the name) so make sure to bring your snorkels!

🌤 The best time to visit is on a calm, sunny day with low swell. It can get really busy so visit at sunrise to avoid crowds!

🚘 Access is easy by car, then it’s a short walk down over rocks. Wear good shoes because it can be slippery, and always check conditions because waves can still wash over the rocks.

🌿 Quick reminder to respect the locals and the area. Keep noise down, stick to the existing paths, take all rubbish with you, and leave shells, sea life, and rocks exactly where you found them.

💌 Send this to someone who would brave the freezing water and swim here!
You’d never guess that this hidden gem is just 30 minutes from Perth 😍

📌 Follow for our series sharing 100 places you NEED to visit in Western Australia!

Part 5 / 100: Welcome to Bells Rapids, one of the most beautiful and underrated spots in the Perth Hills, especially after WA has had a bit of rain. This walk is one of our personal favourites because you get river views, rapids, and little waterfalls all within a short distance.

📍 Bells Rapids is in Brigadoon, around a 45 minute drive from Perth.

⏱️ A quick visit is around 1 to 2 hours, which is enough time to walk to the lookout, explore along the river, and stop for photos. If you bring snacks and take it slow, you can easily make it longer.

📸 The best spots are the lookout over the rapids, the rocky river edges, and the trails that follow the water.

🌤 The cooler months from May to September are ideal because the water is flowing and the walk is way more comfortable than summer.

🚘 Access is easy on sealed roads, so there’s no need for a 4WD.

💌 Send this to someone who should take you on a date to Bells Rapids!
Is this Australia’s BEST KEPT secret 🤯😍

📌 Follow for our series sharing 100 places you NEED to visit in Western Australia!

Welcome to, Hamersley Gorge, one of the most iconic hikes in Karijini and famous for its natural “spa pool” tucked into the gorge.

📍 Part 4/100: Hamersley Gorge is in Karijini National Park (Pilbara, WA)

⏱️ How long to spend here: 2–4 hours. Enough time to walk in, swim, and actually enjoy it without rushing.

🌤 We recommend visiting in the dry season (May–September) for cooler days and safer conditions, the national park is known to flood in the wet season

🚗 There is a mix of sealed and unsealed gravel roads to access Hamersley Gorge so make sure you have a 4WD for this trip as conditions can change quickly

🥾 BONUS: The rocks leading down to the Gorge get slippery so make sure you wear proper enclosed shoes and keep an eye on the water level

💌 Save this to add Hamersley Gorge and Spa to your travel bucket list!
I can’t believe this lake is ACTUALLY this PINK in real life… 🤯

📌 Follow for our 100 Places to Visit in Western Australia series!

Welcome to Hutt Lagoon (aka the pink lake near Kalbarri), one of those spots that you won believe is real until you visit in person! Some days it’s bubblegum pink, other days it leans more lilac or red, and it can change depending on the light and time of year 💗

📍 Part 3/100: Hutt Lagoon is near Port Gregory, about a 40 min drive from Kalbarri.

⏱️ You only need 30–60 minutes to view the pink lake from the main viewpoints and take photos (longer if you’re flying the drone or stopping in at Port Gregory too)

🌞 Make sure to visit mid-morning to early afternoon (preferably between 10am and 2pm) when the colour is the most vibrant

🚗 Easy to access by car with roadside stopping points. Just be careful on the highway and only pull over where it’s safe.

Part 2/100: Welcome to Shell Beach, one of the most unique stops in Shark Bay. The “beach” here is literally billions of tiny white shells, and the water is usually glassy and bright blue.

📍 Shell Beach is near Denham in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, about a 45 min drive from Denham.

⏱️ How long to spend here: 1–2 hours is perfect for photos, a swim (if it’s calm), and a slow walk along the shoreline.

🌞 Visit in the dry season, April to October, to avoid extreme humidity and rain!

🚗 Getting there: It’s an easy drive on sealed roads. No 4WD needed, but take water and plan ahead as services are limited once you’re out of town.

💌 Send this to someone who’d lose their mind over a beach made of shells.
I can’t believe more people don’t know about this paradise 😍

Esperance may be a bit of a trek from Perth, WA but the turquoise blue beaches are definitely worth it 🩵

📍 Esperance is a small coastal town in the South West, located about a 7 hour drive from Perth.

⏱️ The ideal amount of time to spend here is 5-7 days. This gives you enough time to explore Esperance’s iconic beaches, 4WD tracks and hikes

📸 Must-visit beaches include Lucky Bay, Hellfire Bay, Twilight Beach and Wylie Bay

🌞 Esperance is warmest in the summer months between December and February, although it can also get quite windy during these months

🚘 You’ll want a 4WD car to avoid missing out on exploring any of the famous beaches, including driving along Lucky Bay!

… That this Redwood Forest is NOT Sequoia National Park 😳

👇🏼Here is everything you need to know about Cement Creek Redwood Forest in Warburton, Victoria:

📍Located in Warburton, about a 90 minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD

Redwood Trees are well know for being some of the tallest trees in the world!

We recommend visiting about 30 minutes after sunrise to catch the light rays beaming through the Redwood trees, and to beat the crowds.

The Forest is a few steps from the main car park and is free to enter (as at 2 January 2026).

Can you believe this Forest is located in Australia?
Welcome to…

📍 Roy’s Peak, New Zealand!

Roy’s Peak is located in the small town of Wanaka, about an hours drive from Queenstown.

HOW TO GET THERE
The start of the trail head is around 5 minutes from Wanaka’s town centre, so we recommend staying nearby the night before the hike.

WHEN TO HIKE
Sunrise and sunset are the best times to hike if you want to see the mountain peaks glow! We hiked at sunset and were the only people at the top of the trail. We have heard that there are lengthy photo-op wait times and crowds at sunrise! BONUS: Roy’s Peak is closed every November for shearing season.

DIFFICULTY:
All Trails classifies Roy’s Peak as HARD. The trail is 16.4kms out and back and Hasan elevation gain of 1,284metres.

🥾 Send this to someone you would hike Roy’s Peak with!
I bet you wouldn’t guess…
