In a surprise to her mom, Brandon, and every guest in attendance, Mary began her walk along the front of Michigan Central Station to an encouraging audio recording of her late father, Mr. William Pickard.
Hearing his voice in that moment brought so many tears. It was as if he was right there with her, encouraging her as she took those first steps toward a new chapter.
As Mary approached the aisle, the audio transitioned into a song filled with meaning, leading her through an aisle of florals and toward her groom.
A beautiful reminder that even in absence, love has a way of showing up for life’s most important moments.

Mary & Brandon’s wedding brought more than 200 of their closest family and friends together at the iconic Michigan Central Station, yet somehow, every moment still felt incredibly intimate and personal.
This was so much more than a wedding. It was a love letter to Detroit, the city that shaped them, and a beautiful celebration of family, legacy, and love. Throughout the weekend, Mary’s late father, William Pickard, was honored in thoughtful and meaningful ways, making his presence and the legacy he built a part of their celebration.
