Fifteen years ago today, on 1/11/11 I walked into as an 18-year-old with twin daughters not even two years old. I was postpartum, lost, and searching for purpose,something to look forward to, something that would help me break the teen-pregnancy stereotype and make my girls proud… without realizing I was about to find my passion.
Through this journey, I found so much more than a career. I built confidence, discovered my creativity, learned the value of consistency, and surprisingly developed a deep love for education. I was blessed with incredible mentors during my time in school, and even then, I knew one day I wanted to give back and be that person for the next generation in this industry.
What people don’t always see are the long days, the late nights, the sacrifices, and the resilience it took to get here. Through hard work, dedication, and showing up even when it was hard, I was able to build an amazing clientele and an even more incredible community around me. This industry can be cutthroat, but it taught me how to develop thick skin while still leading with heart letting my work speak for itself and staying as authentic as possible every step of the way.
After moving into my own studio last year, my spark was reignited. I felt grateful and fulfilled, yet called toward even more growth and evolution. I started asking myself what the next 15 years would look like… and what would truly make me happy 😊
And so, in the most full circle way, these past few months I’ve stepped into education, teaching at I’m beyond thankful for my clients who have supported me through this shift and trusted me as I’ve adjusted my schedule to balance both the salon and teaching.

I usually try to trim their hair quarterly about every 4 months and let them tell me what they want. One likes a longer length with a lot of layers while the other one likes it shorter in length with longer layers but shorter around her face.
