I had to pause for not only my mental health but also my physical health my labs were awful. Yet, I sat in a doctor's office and they told me I was normal and healthy. Even though I had one point to go before being labeled pre-diabetic at 36, 37. I have tried to lose weight so many times in the past it wasn’t until I stopped focusing on the scale and started focusing on the Calendar and tracking my consistency rather than my weight that I started to see real success. Please don’t get me wrong when I look at my before I don’t see someone who was undeserving of love or someone who was not beautiful. I see someone who could not run a 5K with her son and desperately wanted to, or could barely keep up with a busy three-year-old.

What I have found that helps me is the 4/30/10 method. 4 strength training workouts a week, 30g of protein at each meal and 10K steps a day. I have a good supplement that helps me from snacking and keeps my energy up for workouts. It’s scary putting this out there, in fear old habits will creep back, but I can’t. I can’t let that girl in the before photos down. 🫶🏼
