Once every thirty-two months, the Supreme Lord opens a door that remains closed to ordinary time.
This is Purushottam Maas — the month that surrendered at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna and received His own divine name. What was once called Mal Maas — rejected, shelterless, weeping — became the most glorious month of all, because Krishna accepted it as His own.
Such is the mercy of Purushottam — the Supreme Person, beyond all imperfection.
One who observes Purushottam Vrata burns all accumulated karma and attains the direct service of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa.
This sacred month carries 1000 times the spiritual potency of even Kārtik Māsa. It is worshipped by sages, demigods, and Lakṣmī Devī Herself. Every act of chanting, charity, parikramā, and devotion is multiplied beyond measure. In this month, the Lord overlooks all offenses and draws the sincere heart close.
