The Oud Kerk is built in 1929 by modernist pioneer J.J.P. Oud. We are currently transforming it into a collective artists space together with:

De Aanschouw is a micro-gallery that sticks like an art parasite to the facade of. Since 2001 it exhibits the work of a Rotterdam based artist, every week a different one. We are the 1254th artists in the row.
We really love De Aanschouw for its persistence. Every week something new appears, and that rhythm has become something rare. De Aanschouw reminds us that doing something out of care and curiosity is enough. It keeps going, simply because it feels important to keep doing it.
Many thanks to for the invite. Still on show until Thursday, then we’ll be replaced by lovely.
The Limburg Design Award is presented every two years to a well-known designer who works (inter)nationally. The prize focuses on contemporary interior design and recognizes designers who continue architect Pierre Cuypers’ ideas in a contemporary context.
Previous winners include Ted Noten, Jurgen Bey, Studio Müller van Tol, Studio Inamatt, Atelier van Lieshout, Sabine Marcelis, Formafantasma and Raw Color.
From the jury rapport:
‘The jury nominated Team Thursday for their distinctive graphic signature and the way they translate it into spatial design. Their work begins with typography and color, but evolves into comprehensive works of art that blend interiors, shapes, and patterns.
What sets them apart, according to the jury, is the way they create coherence in their projects. Their visual language is both distinct and functional. They work with craftsmanship, paying close attention to materials, and eschew digital slickness.Their work is well-conceived, playful, and thoughtful. They collaborate with others but always remain true to their own signature.’
