For Tommy, an impactful part of his TCU Neeley experience was serving as a TCU Neeley Professional Development Center coach. In this role, he mentored peers through the preparation process for professional interviews and presentations.
He recalls a specific moment when he helped a student move past a lack of confidence by encouraging her to focus on the power of her unique story.
According to Tommy, the experience was a lesson he needed for himself as much as it was for his fellow student that he coached. He credits Elisabeth Apperson, associate director of the TCU Neeley Professional Development Center for teaching him how to lead with empathy and intentionality.
“I wouldn’t have had this experience without my director, Elisabeth Apperson, who taught me how to be a good leader,” Tommy said.
He will graduate tonight with his BBA with plans to join DaVita as a Redwoods Analyst in Denver, Colorado.
Congratulations to Tommy and the entire Class of 2026! 🎓🏔️ #TCU26
