Wow! Feeling incredibly honored to be included in House Beautiful’s Next Wave Class of 2026. I am thrilled, humbled, and grateful to be recognized alongside such esteemed peers.

None of this would be possible without the THID team and. I count my lucky stars every night for,,, and: they are the backbone of the firm and deserve all the credit and more.

Thank you to and, and the entire team for this special recognition!

The issue will hit newsstands soon, but in the meantime check out the link in our bio to meet this year’s class! ✨

Rewinding it back to my foyer as shared in. I have a real obsession with primitive antiques and art layering. There’s nothing better than a scrubbed pine chest, a worn kilim rug, and a collection of art curated over the years. #taylorhillinteriordesign

Nestled in a quiet corner of a rustic mountain house, you’ll find reclaimed wood, a stone hearth, a carved antique desk and a leather chair contrasting a few modern pieces — layered to feel collected, not cluttered.

How to get this storied look:
• Anchor the room with one or two architectural elements (wood, stone).
• Repeat materials and tones (leather, brass, warm wood) to create rhythm.
• Mix scales: pair heavy antiques with streamlined modern accents.
• Edit deliberately — let a few meaningful objects tell the story.
• Layer textures (rough wood, interesting textiles, patina) and let natural light do the rest.

Styling details: a sleek lamp or simple rug gives visual “breath,”and a thrown blanket or open book makes it feel lived-in.

This cute kitchen was not heavily renovated: we replaced the countertops, painted the cabinets, added the cabinetry hardware, and spruced up the lighting. It wasn’t extensive but the space transformed in the best way. It can be easy to get caught up scrolling through brand new kitchens, but try refocusing on little updates that can amount to something quite profound. #taylorhillinteriordesign

A family beach house: Every room should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis—there is no set formula! We are always strategic about how rooms come together: studying the circulation path, use, size, and other factors will help determine what is best for a space. The space’s dimensions allowed us to pair two chaises where one would typically expect to see lounge chairs. Believe it or not, the coffee table is actually an antique indonesian rice bed that is almost seven feet long! We placed a more traditional pair of club chairs to balance the size of the chaise lounges on the other side of the room. A sofa anchors the space adjacent. #taylorhillinteriordesign

“The mix” is pretty critical to the success of our projects. In this photo you’ll see salvaged barnwood from North Carolina and flooring from France, a fantastic Asian table, a set of British made dining chairs, and a Tuareg rug made of reed and camel leather from North Africa. We like this layering technique for a number of reasons, but ultimately the fluidity between eras, styles, and regions will layer much stronger in comparison to a homogenous collection of similar furniture. Try and mix it up! It typically results in something quite dynamic.

With the start of a new year and a rather long hiatus from posting…we’re back! I’ve realized I want to provide more than pretty photos I’m proud of here and instead something that actually adds value to the daily lives of others. Please stay tuned for more in the near future - but do let us know if there’s something you’d like to see from us in the comments below!!

This hall is simple but exceptionally special. The color you see is French Gray by. It is probably one of our most used paint selections - it has this magical power, transforming to a new color in every space we try it (in general as well as throughout the day and as the light changes). In this space, it mirrored the color of the pluff mud marsh right outside the window: much more mushroom tinted rather than the typical green I associate with the color. If you’re looking for a paint selection that makes such an impact, I highly suggest this one! #taylorhillinteriordesign

Charleston-based interior designer, Taylor Hill, went bold when designing her own primary bath — and we’re obsessed. Inspired by that punchy pink wallpaper, the space is the perfect home for our red-piped towels (now officially back!) ❤️ Head to the link in bio to learn more about Taylor and her signature design style.
As cooler air rolls in, many of us find ourselves dreaming of cozy escapes - there are few things more peaceful than relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea by the window. This room provides the perfect spot for just that: these antique chairs came upholstered just as they are in a wonderful old tapestry fabric. The edges are a bit worn, but the pair’s patina were perfect for this space. We finished off the room with other antique touches, marigold linen window treatments, and a family “paint by numbers” piece that couldn’t be more perfect. ✨ #taylorhillinteriordesign

Goodbye spooky season, hello turkey season 🦃 We love this fresh and simple Sullivan’s Island dining space. Comfort and functionality were most important for this family, so we sourced roomy seating, indoor/outdoor floor coverings, and durable materials like quartz countertops and painted wood walls. #taylorhillinteriordesifn
