It is very difficult to find the words to describe how special this entire process has been for me. I feel nothing but gratitude for all the pieces that came together to create this amazing life experience.
To each and every one of you who donated, sent positive vibes and kind words, or shared advice from past marathons, I can’t thank you enough. It is such a special feeling knowing so many amazing people had my back and wanted to support me throughout this journey.
Losing my mother was one of the most difficult experiences of my life. She gave me the motivation to dig deep when I needed to and stay committed to the process. Although I was wearing my mom around my neck, I truly believe she was with me in spirit, pushing me through those last tough miles and helping the sun shine through.
The magic of this event is untouchable, and the city of Boston really is a special place that I’m so proud to be a part of.
Thank you so much to Dana-Farber for allowing me the privilege of raising this money to help support cancer research in any way I can. Being surrounded by the DFMC team made me feel like I was part of something truly special. Knowing that we have all had to fight our own battles with cancer in our lives, I felt the power of coming together, and the strength in numbers.
I truly believe anything is possible in life if you are willing to put in the work and make the sacrifices to see it through.
Mom, I hope I made you proud. I love you and miss you with all my heart.
