The Irish Guinness & beef stew tastes like my grandma made itārich, hearty, and exactly what I needed. Jaap was even more impressed with the Jameson steak & chips, saying it was better than his expensive dinner at a meat restaurant.
I also enjoyed their seasonal cocktail, Tierneyās Stormāthe spiced rum gives it just the right amount of warmth and bite.
We actually ate here a year ago when we first went out after Maxim was born. Itās the kind of place you come back to because itās consistently good and fast. If you need a quick but satisfying meal, this is it.
Prices have gone up (like everywhere in Nijmegen), so itās no longer an āaffordable gemā for me. But a gem nonetheless. Honestly? Iād rather pay ā¬17 for a stew that hits the spot every time than gamble on something forgettable.
