Foundations and footings are such a big part of the boring ground prep before an extension can come to life. We had so much earth removed to accommodate this and it took about a month.
The dig out, which is of our existing living room to blend the spaces was the biggest change but will be so worth it. We could have just connected the spaces at the last minute but we wanted to have underfloor heating and polished concrete running through the whole L-Shape.
A few people think we’re mad doing this with a baby on the way but it’s really not as disruptive as you’d think because we’ve only lost a corner of our house, perhaps I’ll do a reel on how we planned this. ☝🏻😃
You’ll see a bit more of our garden chickens now too, they’ve played a big part in the plans we’ve made to windows and views into the garden because we just love watching them so much 😂🥰
