Swipe to see exactly how “festive me” (and my home) looks. Spoiler: it’s very me 💁🏻♀️ Hope your holidays were full of whatever lights you up 🎄✨
When I talk to people about the past few years, I spot the concern in their eyes at the load I’ve been carrying - the load we’ve all been carrying. The world hasn’t felt the same since that rug-pull of 2020, and it still baffles me that we’re meant to pop back to normal as if the whole thing was a blip. So if you need it, treat this as a small permission slip to give yourself some grace too.
There are two poems here - swipe for the second. They arrived in my head together and didn’t feel right split apart, so they’re going up as a pair. I hope they land with where they need to 💫
The are behind the look & feel, bringing to life that “consistently inconsistent” character lean into: William Morris wallpaper, tassel lampshades, mismatched vintage pieces, old family photos on the walls, little nautical nods to reflect the location - small details that make the place feel lived-in rather than themed and very much my maximalist kinda style 🌿
The part I keep coming back to? The sunny conservatory. The structure itself, the paint colour, the natural daylight, the lamps, the tiled floor, THAT SEA VIEW… it’s actually sorta become the blueprint for my kitchen plans (will try and explain more on Stories sometime) 🌞
Anyhoo, thought it all deserved a moment here; maybe it’ll spark something for you too - swipe for zoomable pics → 👀
For years I’ve felt a little deflated when my birthday’s ended up feeling like… just another day. Not because I’ve got diva demands (although, yes, I AM a Libra ruled by Venus and a lover of beautiful things soooo… 💅)
All I really ask for is the chance to dress up, sip a glass of champagne (or two) and be somewhere maximalist, twinkly and a little bit magical 🥂✨ So this year, I didn’t leave it to chance - and ended up with a month (lol) of wonderful celebrations:
- the weekend before my birthday I finally tapped that iconic “press for champagne” button IRL. Art Deco decadence with a modern twist - even the pies are a masterpiece.
- my forever happy place. Some people celebrate in bars; I celebrate in department stores. Especially when the Christmas decorations start creeping in; it’s the adult version of being a kid in a candy store.
- fast becoming my new go-to for all things oh-so me. From the clothes to the decor, it’s a constant source of joyful inspiration. That navy dress and scarf combo’s been living rent free in my mind ever since.
- went solo on my birthday eve for the interiors, stayed for a big bowl of pasta and a glass of champagne. Libra priorities in action 💫
- beyond lucky to have this Michelin Guide gem on my doorstep. We perched at the bar, enjoyed a run of small plates and rose fizz - and since it was my ACTUAL birthday, we stayed so long lunch rolled right into dinner. S/o to the cherry martinis we had for dessert! 🍒
- ended the month with a long-overdue holiday (three years since my last and it was starting to show! 😅). Staying towards the end of the season was perfect: it was calm, sun-soaked (mostly) with a five-star view worth the wait (yes, my camera roll is now 95% pool pics) 💙🤍
1️⃣ Giant velvet pumpkin that moves its way around the house throughout the year - but becomes the hero at Halloween 🎃
2️⃣ Normally find novelty mugs a bit frightful 😱 but couldn’t resist the chance to drink my witchy morning brews and soups from a cauldron ✨
3️⃣ Everything here I owned already and use all year round 😬 Just not usually all at the same time 😂
4️⃣ Quite like the cobweb table cloth for hiding a multitude of sins 🕸️ and the lil’ skelly is outfit goals, no? 💀
5️⃣ New bootiful purchase: something to put the treats in 🍬
6️⃣ My horrifying hallway and stairway to hell 🔥(probs with some IRL cobwebs) 👻
7️⃣ Happy Discoween to those that celebrate 🪩✨
8️⃣ Loving this starry wreath so much it’s probs gonna stay up until Christmas now 🤩
From the outside it’s a Victorian townhouse, but step inside and it’s giving rock’n’roll interiors goals; somewhere between aristocratic heritage and globe-trotting collector. Lacquered wood, rich terracotta walls, Persian-style rugs and vintage treasures tucked into every corner. The sort of setting that could easily have hosted Noel and Meg’s Supernova Heights crew back in the day, IYKYK 👀
The Indian-inspired Pondicherry Bar is a jewel box in its own right: spice-hued decor with walls draped in bespoke tapestries by New York fashion brand plus a liquor shelf lined with mirrors and Hollywood-style bulbs making for a playfully theatrical-yet-snug space to sip on cocktails ✨
Upstairs, the bedrooms are calmer but still full of character – crisp sheets, plush carpets, rich colours, gothic crown mouldings and lots of mood lighting. The beautifully tiled bathrooms come with vintage-style Burlington showers and sinks, with complimentary Floris toiletries.
My verdict? If Oasis was the headline, the Bellevue was the perfect supporting act, making the whole weekend more magical. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in town. Swipe to see all the delightful deets ➡️
Do your pals tip you off when they see ‘your’ thing in a shop? What’s your leopard print equivalent? Or is this just me… 🐆👀😬

But… I’m struggling to get over the fact she hasn’t got pockets 😩 (technically speaking there IS a lil inside “card” pocket but you knoworramean) and the fact she’s so lightweight. But equally: SHE SO PRETTY 🧡
Soooooo Insta pals, what do you think - should I keep or return? And if I keep, do I size up (again)? 🤔
