فاز الفيلم الوثائقي Hollywoodgate للمخرج إبراهيم نشأت بجائزتي الاتحاد الدولي للنقاد (فيبريسي) والجونة الذهبية، وذلك في إطار منافسته في مسابقة الأفلام الوثائقية بالدورة السادسة من مهرجان الجونة السينمائي الدولي حيث حظي بعرضه الأول في الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.
يأتي هذا بعد حصوله على جائزة العين الذهبية لأفضل فيلم روائي أو وثائقي بمهرجان زيورخ السينمائي، وكان الفيلم قد عُرض عالميًا لأول مرة في مهرجان فينيسيا السينمائي، حيث نال إشادات نقدية واسعة، وبدأ من هناك جولته في المهرجانات السينمائية المختلفة.
ويستعرض الفيلم فترة تاريخية حربية، عندما انسحبت الولايات المتحدة من أفغانستان بعد "الحرب الأبدية" التي استمرت 20 عامًا، سيطرت طالبان على هذه البلد المنكوبة، ليعثروا سريعًا على قاعدة عسكرية أمريكية محملة بأسلحة تتجاوز قيمتها 7 مليارات دولار أمريكي. في هذا الفيلم، يقضي المخرج إبراهيم نشأت، بجرأة غير مسبوقة، عامًا داخل أفغانستان، يتابع فيها طالبان وهم يستولون على ما تركه الأميركيون خلفهم، ليتحولوا من ميليشيا أصولية، إلى نظام عسكري مدجج بالأسلحة.
