Maybe it’s because I know you’ll be my last baby, but this birthday is hitting me a little harder than I expected. When we found out you were on the way, the fear I felt was indescribable. And then you arrived and changed everything.

You are pure sunshine, Ezra—always smiling, always exploring, always reminding us to slow down and enjoy the little moments. Watching you grow this past year has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Because loving your family hard and loving yourself well can exist at the same time.
I love my life in every single capacity, but this little break reminded me that resting, reconnecting, and finding pieces of yourself again is just as important too.
