Mia is at that magical age where she adores Paddington Bear, so taking her on the๐๐๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐จ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ with was an unforgettable experience! And honestly? It was just as magical for me too!
From the moment we stepped onto the beautifully decorated vintage Routemaster bus, the excitement began. The Paddington-themed dรฉcor, the warm welcome, and the delicious scent of afternoon tea treats instantly set the scene. As we drove past Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and more, Miaโs excitement grewโshe actually recognized the landmarks this time! Watching her connect the city around her to the places sheโs read about it learnt about at school was such a special moment.
One of the absolute highlights? Driving down Regent Street and Oxford Street, where we saw Paddington Bear himself! It truly felt like stepping into one of his stories. And of course, we couldnโt forget the delicious afternoon teaโfreshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, mini sandwiches, sweet treats, and of course, Paddingtonโs beloved marmalade sandwiches! We sipped on a selection of teas (or hot chocolate for Mia) while enjoying the most charming audio storytelling experience, featuring Paddington sharing fun facts about London.

called me and suggested going to the spa with her. I donโt have a gym membership since COVID times, but she does, and โDavid Lloydโ offers guest passes to those who do. We chose the Kensington club. While my friend had been there before, I hadnโt been to any David Lloyd clubs previously, so I was looking forward to the experience.
To gain entry, a guest simply needs to download the David Lloyd app and create an account. Itโs a quick and straightforward process that takes about two minutes. As a guest, you can enjoy access to the spa and gym facilities, including participating in scheduled classes.
Since I had already gone for a run in the morning and Olga wasnโt in the mood for exercise, we opted to focus on the spa. We arrived at 5 pm, which seemed to be an off-peak time, and that worked out perfectly! Besides two other people, we had the entire place to ourselves.
The club boasts fantastic spa amenities, including:

* two saunas with varying levels of heat - medium and hot

* Relaxation beds
