There was never a doubt that the Championship races would be my main goals this season — but racing the 70.3 World Championship only four weeks after Kona… that was a real challenge 😅
No lead-up is ever perfect, and I stopped chasing that illusion a long time ago. Racing, for me, is a privilege — a moment to celebrate all the hard work, the sacrifices, and the love for this sport. ❤️
However you cannot show up as the B-version of yourself and expect an A-result.
I was far from perfectly prepared this time, but I still chose to line up — because it’s the World Championship! And sometimes, showing up and giving it your all, even when you’re not at your best, is what makes you stronger.

A challenging lead-up — tendon surgery mid-season, pyelonephritis in travel week, illness in race week, and goggles gone in the swim.
