My beautiful mama, nana to most, was never the same after my father’s passing last year. We tried. But her soul was broken. She left the world, with her Brian and I by her side, on Saturday afternoon. We watched the strongest woman we know slowly slip away from us - and it felt like the entire world got quiet.
I will spend the rest of my days honouring her tremendous legacy and likely still wondering if my outfits meet with her approval.

We said goodbye to my beloved aunt Rozi, and a short 6 months later to our papa. Just when we hoped we were coming up for air, tragedy struck again in early December.
We will never be the same. But we will move forward into 2025 with as much grace as possible.

In my grief I tried to remember a single moment, just one, where he said an angry word or was upset with me; I do not have a single one. Because he never did and he never was. In the last days, I have received an outpouring of love and kindness from friends, family, his and my neighbours - each person, whether they knew him for a few moments, a few years or a lifetime has said the same thing. There aren’t many like him, one of the best humans I have ever known.
I was lucky to have him for 54 years. But it would never have been enough. I miss him today, I will miss him tomorrow, I will miss him always. This loss makes me wish so hard for a heaven that I’m not certain exists where we can one day be reunited. Only that brings me peace today.
I love you daddy. I regret not kissing your forehead that last day. I didn’t know I wouldn’t have another chance. Forgive me.♥️
